So Im level 21 and Im doing the quest king's gambit. Ive been in the strip before, but now when i go through the north gate it loads then the screen gos black and nothing. Its really pissing me off. I have installed the game to my hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.

Try this: I forget what mission it is but it involves collecting debts for the Atomic Wrangler. One of the guys is located on the Strip and you are told to "kill" (don't have to) him. Whatever you choose, make sure to take his hat. His hat is the key to getting on the Strip. Simply wear his hat when entering the Strip and it should work. I do not know why it works (saved data mumbo jumbo) but my friend tried this same technique and it worked. However, whenever he tries to manually save his game on the Strip it freezes. Basically, I would just use this technique until a patch comes out that fixes this bug. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you're confused.

I allready did that part of that quest and the girl in the atomic wrangler has the hat.

This is after the update? I swear all that patch did was put a gambling anti cheat in the game.

Yes it started happening just earlier. maybe because i joined the brotherhood of steel? idk.

This is the exact same issue I'm having! At least I'm glad I'm not alone… Its extremely annoying now as almost all of my quests have something to do with the Strip. Honestly I've just been traveling the wasteland looking for things to do and I feel like I have nothing left now. This needs to be fixed as I can't progress in the main quest now.

Yeah this has now happened to me. It completley crashes my xbox trying to enter the strip. I have done the quest as stated above. I've cleared the cache and installed the game onto the hard drive.

I attempted to use the monorail again but that exploded on another mission even though I disarmed the bomb (another glitch there)

I hope this issue is resolved because I really don't want to have to start over especially if this could happen again.

If you already gave the hat to the woman at the atomic wrangler, then you can buy a "old cowboy hat" from the vender in the crimson caravan HQ. You should be able to get into the strip and autosaves wont freeze it up. I did have trouble loading a manually saved game and the autosave. Both just froze my 360 when i tried to load, but I could leave and then save and go back to the strip. I would suggest saving frequently and not always over the same save as before.

this glitch has me really ticked. Im not touching the game till I see a new patch released, thank God Fable 3 releases this week.
