Freezing: Back from the Dead

Oh why great Fallout New Vegas, why won't you work?! I plead, I plead! Freeze on me no more! I plead...

When I had first got the game, the freezing was terrible. It eventually became every damn hour, it was insufferable. But then I found a list of ways of how to stop it. So I turned off my music, the autosaves, changed the HUD color. I stopped over-writing saves and made new ones every time, and I deleted old saves before I started playing again. I went into the PS3 Safe Mode and changed some 'stuff' about.

It worked perfectly. Freezes occurred maybe 1 out of 7 hours. I could play with freedom! :twirl:

...but now the dreaded freezing is back. I have continued the practices above. The only things I am suspicious of is giving giving the HUD 100% opacity (just a baseless hunch), and over-writing the settings save. I have nothing else to go on. My disk is scratch free, my PS3 works fine with other games.

What the hell and a half is up? I'm only on my 2nd playthrough, goshdarnit :yucky:

if your referring to my list it isn't a guaranteed universal fix-all for the freezing, it's just a list of suggestions that I and other players noticed made a difference. eventually, the game freezes up on you, I already sold my copy because I got so fed up with it.

and when you use safe mode you just "restore file system".... not "change some stuff about".... I'm not sure what you mean by that....and I never suggested it...
