Funniest Death

Post » Mon Jun 25, 2012 12:59 pm

Having just learned that you can make your horse rear back on its hind legs i thought i would try it. Turns out my horse is weird. It reared back then slid up a hill then glitched forward. I tried again but this time it glitched back farther then launched forward in the air. It landed and died instantly and tossed me off and i died too. It was pretty funny to watch because it was the normal animation just sliding across the ground while doing it. Has this happened to anyone else?

I finished a hard battle at level 10 at the Tower/Bridge type dungeon east of Whiterun. I finally beat the bandit chief after twenty minutes of reloading the same fight. I beat him then fell off the bridge and died.

I enjoy being a prepared, cautious player, so I hadn't died in many months. I cannot resist a rare book for my collection, so one day I was very pleased to see a book I didn't own at a wilderness shrine. I didn't want to steal it, so I 'replaced' it with some expensive items I had in my inventory. As I was trying to properly place them at the shrine I backed up and went straight over a precipice and went splat.

I wish you had a video of your horse incident...

I had a nearly identical accident last night. In the unmarked tower on the path to Bleak Falls Barrow, a bandit surprised me. As he rushed down the stairs, I backed up quickly and fell right off the platform. *splat*

Haha! I just used the word "splat" to describe the end result of a fall I took off a tower platform. (I don't know why but that part of your post just cracked me up - maybe I'm easily amused)

I think it's possible that since Skyrim was released, I've gotten more entertainment from the people who post on this forum than from anywhere else in recent memory.

Judging by this thread the most evil threat in Skyrim is not world-ending dragons, but the lack of safety rails.

It was a good fight when I'm fighting with two Elder Dragon and a Giant.
The sword swinging in here and there, giant's club smashing everywhere, and dragon's breath burn everybody. Until it was 'til me and an Elder Dragon. I can't stand, and nearly my end. I know I will death with this dragon, so with my last breath I shout fus ro dah to my enemy. And I died.
But wait.. That dragon doesn't attack me.. So why did I died? I look behind, and saw a mudcrab with meaningful grinning, chopped me from behind. So did I died because of mudcrab.. After that great fight with dragons and giant.. That was awful..

 That is so true. I think at least 80% of my characters' deaths have been from falls rather than enemies.

Yeah one time i was riding along on shadowmere in the reach and went over what i thought was a small hill. It turned out to be a cliff and we both died. That was a sad day.
