Funniest story I read here is a poster who shared an encounter with a npc mage. The mage happened to be on a small narrow rock bed alongside the river. When the mage saw the player, he summoned his minion, however because the rock bed was so narrow, his minion actually knocked the mage into the river current, lol

Mine is forum related.

I fought a certain important dragon at a particularly high altitude. As soon as the fight was over my follower Mjoll turned and told me how her father used to take her to Morrowind to fight cliffracers. Made me laugh hard due to all of the forum comparisons between dragons and cliffracers and the incredible timing of the statement.

I was in The College of Winterhold during the night time so most of the NPCs were sleeping on their bed. I needed to start the radiant quest from Colette Marence (the restoration trainer). When I spoke to her she got up off her bed and as I was trying to start the quest an NPC, Arniel Gane, came into the room and just went to sleep on her bed. When I was done talking to her she started having some "seizures". It seemed liked she couldn't decide what to do. I can see now why Colette is always saying things about others not treating her right...

I LOLed when I first heard: "You're an alchemist? Can you brew me an ale?"

I love the random NPC dialog.

Two weird ones for me so far:
1) I was with Lydia and she almost died - kneeling down hurt after a Giant battle - I couldnt find her so I did fast travel to a place close by. When I arrive - her head is stuck in the ground like a spear - so I talk to her and she talks like all is fine - so I walked away - and she flops on the ground on her face and slides across the ground on her belly. It was pretty laughable - after a bit I fast traveled back to Whiterun and it reset things and all was fine after that. But it was pretty funny telling her to go attack something and watching her slide on her belly to attack it..

2) I was attacking these bandits at a camp and lightning bolted this guy high in the tower. When he died, he went spinning up in the air - and just kept going and going until he vanished into space.....

Moronic dragon: flies backwards with no signs of orientation. Surely a bug. Downside was that the dragon was keeping maximum "hostile" distance between itself and my character, making fast travel impossible until I was well out of the encounter zone.

Ok you all need to try this: I Drop a ruby out of my inventory on accident in riften during the middle of the day, so I back out so I can pick it up but before I could everyone and their grandmother comes rushing over at it. wtf?! I back off to see what happens and to my greatest amusment they start to fight over it. Two of them died and one is the victor and then the others start screaming muder! murder! guards run over and stares at the bodies saying who did this?!

Was watching some Giants at a safe distance and saw a goat wandering just a little too close to them. BAM! the goat shot straight up into the air and out of sight.

I was thinking `wow` and was about to move on, then realise that the goat must still be UP there somewhere...

Looked up to see this dot fall all the way back down from 2000 feet and bounce dead on the ground. That goat must`ve been in space for about 10 seconds!

When I used iceform on a bear who was charging me, and he, litterly, spinned (around his own axis) 1 kilometer (straight over my head) to the other side of a water.

I just stood there, and ".... wtf?" then I lolled. (was on the way to the greybeards)

I was walking around the tundra outside Whiterun and encountered a random guard just kind of walking around. So I went up to him, and I heard a dragon coming. He did too so he drew his sword and stopped walking. I went over to him and he was like "What is it? Dragons?" And just then the dragon literally landed right on top of him.

OH, another one!

I was trapped just under a cliff by a bear. the bear couldn`t quite reach me and everytime I moved up a bit the bear would run up and try to kill me. He always came just to the edge of the cliff but never fell off. He hit me a bit and I hit him sometimes, but he always knew to run back and if i moved any more he`d kill me.

After a while of this I hit upon an idea. I coated my sword in paralyse poison and popped my head up- the bear came running and I hit it once and it froze, paralysed.

It teetered on the edge of the cliff and fell off all the way down to its death!

Well I thought it was funny as well as saving me.

I stepped out a door from inside a building to outside. As soon so the new zone loaded I saw a dragon skeleton fall from the sky onto a Dragr Deathlord and drag him off the side of the building.

I was walking and all or the sudden a mammoth shot in the air at least several thousand feet then fell all the way back to the ground and fell over dead. It was strange and funny to see such a gigantic creature go so far up in the air for no apparent reason.

Mine happened when I accidentally killed most of Dawnstar on my Vampire assassin. I was heading to Dawnstar for the
Spoiler
DB quest to hunt down Cicero
and had Shadowmere and the Spectral Assassin with me. However, I had also forgotten that I was a Stage 4 Vampire. As I enter town, a nearby farmer spots me, shouts a battlecry and charges, meeting my Spectral Assassin in battle. I watch as more citizens and guards start to advance on us. Without thinking I get off Shadowmere who then charges into the crowd and starts beating up a guard. So, I decide that I don't really want to fight all of Dawnstar so I leave Shadowmere and the assassin there and start walking around the town. And then I hear the beating of wings. I look up and, sure enough, there's a dragon bearing down on me. It's already fried some of the town and it then lands in front of me as I start hitting it with the Mace of Molag Bal. Finally, as it's almost dead, my assassin comes out of nowhere, jumps onto the dragon's head and stabs it with his dagger, killing it. Shortly after Shadowmere joins me as well. So, on the bright side I killed a dragon, but on the not so bright side, most of Dawnstar is dead,

Wow, that was long. o_o

EDIT: I've also experienced the Mage College bed stealing, but with different NPCs. Apparently being a member of the Mage's College destroys your respect for bed ownership. Too bad my character is still crippled by his ability to psychically tell whether someone owns a bed.

I pickpocket guards a lot for arrows and gold. Every time I get caught doing this in Riften, the guards will attack me instead of the dialog options coming up. This in turn leads to some NPCs coming to my aid by attacking said guard, their actions in turn getting the remaining NPCs to come to the guard's defence. Within a few seconds there's a full out village brawl in the market area which usually ends with some people dying (and me having to resurrect them via console).

All because I wanted some steel arrows.

Not necessarily the funniest, but twice now I've had slaughterfish follow me out of the water.
They skitter around on land like little stubby-legged crocodiles.

Funniest:

I was downstairs in Jorvaskrr, right after I had sold some clothing... clothing that I actually was wearing when I sold it at Warmaiden's minutes before. Can you see it coming? ;)

I got downstairs... then a man talked to me. 'Either I'm drunk, or you are naked'.  I even blushed! And indeed... so I was. In first person you sometimes have no idea how you look like, hahaha.
