Fus-Ro-FAILs

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 8:35 pm

Hey everyone,

I started this topic to get a few laughs. I was wondering what the biggest fail was when you were using unrelenting force/fusrodah.
Mine was during the quest for Sanguine, I was fighting a Necromancer master or something when i was a low level.... She and her buddies kept killing me over and over. I killed her friends, saved, and kept getting killed by her. Eventually, i decided to make a run for it, but first i wanted to get her down. She was standing next to a wall hurling fireballs at me when i fusrodah-ed her right through the wall. She wasnt dead, i still heard her grunting and spitting fire at me from the other side.... But there was no room on the other side.... i found it funny and precarious and just hopped my way through happily. :bunny:

lol! I love these funny anecdotal threads.

At one time I was wandering through a city (can't remember which one) and accidentaly bumped the shout button whilst having Fus Ro Dah equipped. Thing is, I was facing a passing guard. Needless to say I caused quite a stir with the authorities.

Another time I again accidentaly shouted whilst in my house. It's an absolute mess now.

Nothing extravagant, but I once went to Fus Ro Dah some rogue mage off a cliff, but instead of that coming out of my mouth it was "Hey Skeever Butt." Needless to say, I died pretty quick after that.

I guarantee there has been at least one person that has whirlwind sprinted off a cliff by mistake here.

I kinda had the opposite of the mistaken whirlwind sprint happen. I had my back to a cliff one time with 2 or 3 enemies pressing in. I needed some space so I Fus Ro Dah'd and as well as blow the baddies away from me it also shot me backward off the cliff. I didnt think the shout moved me backwards, because I had used it plenty of times before. But apparently at that one point in that one spot it happens.

i was getting my ass handed to me by a forsworn mage-leader. i killed all the others, including the other mages, but this one would destroy me right before i landed the final blow (curse enemy criticals). so i ran up, and Fos Ro Dah'd the [censored] right off a cliff. BUT, she did not die. She healed herself, re-up'd her armor spell, and ran up behind me while i was killing the hagraven.
Spoiler
Delphine and Esbern
just let her walk right up to me and destroy me after my victory.

Just had a mishap a bit earlier. i came upon a Stormcloak camp and wouldn't leave then they demanded it. I let them chase me for a good bit up a mountain, hoping to blow at least half of them away. I finally line them up real good and am high enough for the desired effect and press R2 . . . Stormcloak Soldier resists Dragonrend! DAMN! Forgot that the last thing I did yesterday was kill an Elder dragon. Embarassment ensued, but I waited for my shout to reload and hit several of them with Marked for Death and let them chase me until they died. Still fun, especially since all 8 of them couldn't put a dent in my lvl 52 Redguard, but I felt so foolish that I didn't check on what shout was marked before my error.

Yeah, I called a cave bear "troll bait" instead of tossing him into the raging river. Good times.

Edit: I forgot a lettr :)

I forgot to change my shout from Dragonrend to something else when I used it on a couple of Drauger Deathlords. Who looked at me like I was drunk and then proceeded to tear me apart.

I have, but I've also Fus-Roh-Dahed when I meant to whirlwind sprint. Turns out the city guards don't like that much. :(

Nice topic choice by the way!

Me?

It was pretty funny the first time I tried Fus-Roh-Dah on an opposing Frost Atronach. Nothing happened ... it just stood there dishing out more punishment to my Bosmer. Arrows didn't work either. So, my character had to get creative after that.

It is funny when your character finds out something doesn't work real well against a new opponent. Or, you've got dual spells, and, in combat you hit "left click" for Candlelight instead of "right click" for Summon. (It's always the character's fault ... )

As a sneak character I use Aural whisper to check out caves, crypts and other dungeons, while sneaking through a crypt I saw a couple of draugr and decided to use Aural whisper to see if any other were near by, unfortunately I'd forgetten I'd equipped unrelenting force earlier in the game, but it kind of had the same effect, I now know there were more than a couple of draugr's :whistling:

I have a friend who has always "struggled" with his weight. He is always in the balance between fat and muscular, however at this moment is a bit on the bulky side. I went over to hang out with another friend who lives with him and we smoked some incense. The incense hit the Skyrim playing friend a bit harder than he expected and he rolled over to fall asleep, his TV volume was cranked and he accidentally triggered a tremendous Fus-Roh-Dah and proceeded to get his ass kicked. Since that time I've gone over about 4-5 other times and each time he starts to fall asleep the fus-ro-dah is triggered and snaps him awake. Picture http://www.youtube.com/movieclipsFILMT?src_vid=ohz8_IafGwE&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_111990#p/c/7/HWrjBBXjjhM "1:19" that is how he looks when he snaps awake...

I had once heard a well timed Fus Ro Da could interrupt a dragon's breath, so I tried it on a dragon attacking a village... Turns out the other guards attacking it also didn't like it and I ended up getting killed by the guards rather than the dragon. By the way, can Unrelenting Force interrupt dragon breath?
