Future additions to the game

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:08 pm

So we all know most of what's in store for us with Dawnguard, but I've been thinking about what else might be added later on. I would like to see additions to the guild storylines that tie into a new expansion in some way. Like if they actually did add Morrowind and Cyrodill, could we expand the Thieves Guild or the Dark Brotherhood into these new zones? I for one, would like to actually meet Sithis, not just the Night Mother. Take us to new realms of Oblivion. We get the Soul Cairn in Dawnguard, but what are the other planes like? These are just some ideas floating around in my head. Feel free to add any other ideas if you'd like.

Sithis is the void. The universe. Just look to the stars and you'll see him. But yeah i would like an expansion of the guilds just because they are really really bad in Skyrim. Unfortunately :(

Maybe something about that gate to Hammerfell/Rest of Tamriel? I mean, you don't *just* put a gate there and not plan to use it at some point later on. Look at Oblivion: no gates were used along the borders of Cyrodill (although one road does lead to Hammerfell, south of Chorril, but ends when it hits the foothills long before the "you cannot go further" message.)

I just completed the companions questline and what Kodlak had to say at the end intrigued me, a battle with people from Sovngarde in Hircine's hunting grounds! Sounds to me like something that was supposed to be added to the game but scrapped.

Bring back Morag Tong!! Maybe a Guild-off? And asking for the world here, how about some light armour that looks stealthy and.... light. No assassin would be seen dead in glass armour.

Are you kidding me? I believe the Guilds in Skyrim are waaay better then the guilds in Oblivion.
Storywise they are about even. But I do believe Skyrim was just a bit better...

Nah man. I really don't think they are better in any way. I mean look at this example, you finish the Companions quest line, you are the Harbinger, you talk to some guard and he calls you the new companion recruit. I think that's a clear proof that Guilds in Skyrim are way inferior to the other games. It's disapointing really

I preferred the guilds in Oblivion. Don't get me wrong, the ones in Skyrim were fun, but I thought the last game did it better. Now a battle between Sovngarde and the Hunting Grounds would probably be really fun.

That was one of my main complaints with Skyrim. Even after finishing chains like the Companions, the Thieves Guild, and the Civil War, there is no recognition of what actually happened. Sense of accomplishment isn't there.

Scumbag Bethesda:

Theres paths to Cyrodiil, Morrowind and Hammerfell. Surely the DLC will take us there.

Dawnguard Announced

Events of Dawnguard happen in Skyrim.

A DLC with improved guilds would be cool, the guilds in this game are absolutely pathetic compared to oblivion's. What Vampbassist said almost everyone still treats you like your garage even thou your the guild master.

The guards sometimes comment about your status, but most of the time it's about me being a member of dark brotherhood, how would they know? are they mind readers?

Example is the body guard at the Ragged Flagon, I have been the guild leader for awhile, and restored the guild, but he still says "you may be friends with the guild master, but Il bash your face if you do anything" (or something along those lines) "facepalm"

Very disappointing. I'm still hoping for dlc that will take us out of Skyrim. Maybe they'll raise the level cap lol

You never know, if they felt like it, they could spend forever on one huge expansion to all three provinces and the expansion would cost like 80 dollars because it's bigger than the game.

Those paths are there because they make sense. The land you see when you get to a high altitude isn't an indicator of DLC material-it's only there for scenery when you go that high

They'd have my money. I think it would be really cool to make the game that expansive

Well, if you're the leader of the Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood, you wouldn't want it to be common knownledge that you were the leader. But yeah, the Compainons and Mages should be treated as their title deserves.

There is speculation about the other zones b/c someone(on PC) actually went to Cyrodill and Morrowind. Everything is already there, but it's probably just for scenery from Skyrim. We can only hope it is set up for upcoming dlc.

It's not that outsiders should know who you are, it's mainly the members of the Thieves Guild. They still talk to you like a new recruit except for Delvin with his occasional comments, but it just feels like you're the new recruit no matter what.

It's not for DLC-it's scenery only. The LOD isn't accurate. Someone took screenshots of Cyrodiil from overhead(high enough to see all the landmass), and the landmass doesn't match the actual layout of the province. Sorry
Todd confirmed in an interview a while back that what we could see of Cyrodiil and Morrowind was only there for us to see
