future DLC for skyrim - post ideas here-bethesda please read

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:37 am

alright so here in my opinion i believe that many of us have played skyrim for a lengthy amount of time and realized " oh hey wouldnt this be cool if we had dlc from oblivion or morrowind ect" so here is my idea, we should post here and give our DLC ideas, wha to bring back, what would be cool to see in the future of skyrim, or what dlc SHOULD NOT be put in, in my personal opinion i love sheogorath hes funny, hes completly insane, and hes scotish =) so that being said bethesda should bring back shivering isles and with the new graphics it would make everything look absoloutly amazing, not to mention the extra hours of gameplay altho i imagine its not as simple as oh snap of the fingers we have a brand new upgradedshivering isles, it will take them a fair amount of time so Bethesda review this topic every so often to see the communitys idea on the DLC which would give them a better understanding of what we as the gamer would like in the future or what we think wouldnt fit skyrim, aswell it makes us, the community feel appreciated and makes us feel that we are noticed and heard happy posting

i have idea for part of one like 10 years later after civil war we now face the aldmeri domimion but before it starts we can rebuild our perks with a magic pool then you must help the faction you helped in the civil war and you have more choices like who to help how to kill hire and more or even join the domimion and destory them and learn new spells and shouts and armore and weapons it could be called war of the ages and can have new faictons even have talking seening falmer who can teach you new spells also the faction you helped give's you an estate.

I think we'd all be happy if they do some sort of expansion with new quests and other stuff. The more the merrier.

I think the new DLC will have to do with the a falmer invasion and the dwemer return but it's just my guess.

I think it's really unlikely they will remake things that had already been done in the past like Morrowind, Cyrodil or Shivering Isles. I also think they had all the DLCs planned for a long time now and nothing we suggest will change their minds because 1- they rarely read these forums and 2 - they are probably already working on it if not finished.

The Sons of Bal:
Dovakhiin's recive a letter from a curier, than he headed to a strange castle. That's when inside the castle there's an very old order of Vampire's.He kills some of them ,but when he founds the leader he asks to stop atacking, and that before Dovakhiins trys to kill him he aks to say why he brought him on the castle. Then he explains everithing:
"We found the location of the Volkarian home, there a repugnant Vampire,of unpronunceble name live's there. That thing, her whatever you want to call her,is the daughter of Molag Bal born of the stomach of Vivec...."
He says that the Volkarian home holds the secret to cure all the vampires disease in Nirn. And the probaly way is by curing the Molag bal daughter and then drinking her blood, thus will make all races on Tamriel unable to be infected by vampirism and the disease will die..Homever she is the strongest Vampire in all Nirn and the she is "True vampire",not a disease but yes,the only of it's race. The leader of the clan thanks for bringing piece for his brother's and says:
"Dovakhiin,we know about your powers. If you help us,there will be the greatest reward you'd ever seen".The location is an Island called "Di Forgo" next to Atmora.Homever you will find the West Company and will be obligued to join them and leave the vampire hunter's side. The Company claim's that the island is full of precious materials and that Dovakhiin reward will be a full arsenal.
I don't want to write everithing..so here's the reward from the 3 sides you can choose:
-You are infected by the Molag Bal daughter's.Thus you get all the vampires benefits, homever they give you no penalities and are a more powerfull.Such as the town not atacking you and the nessecity of drinking blood gone's.And some intersting powers such as:
-Summon vampire dogs to aid you.
-Shadow form, you can't bee seing for 10 seconds.
-The Infected:Small chance of turning a human or other race enimie into a vampire to aid you until he dies.(melee)
-Much more Unarmed damage.
If you join the Vampie slayers, you get their stuff with insane bonus like:
-Hunter's necknacle:50% damage agaisn't all non-human enimies
-Hunter's mask:50% resistance agaisn't poison
-Huner's armor:50+ stamina and 50+ health bonus
-Hunter's sword:During the day light, you deal 20 points of poison damage agaisn't animals,20 damage to magika and 30 to stamina
-Hunter boots: You make no noise while sneaking, and 20% of melee damage
-Hunter's ring:You deal 25% damage agaisn't mages
-Hunter' shield: Resistance agaisn't enchanted weapons
If you side the Castle Clan you will recive:
-30.000 Gold
-The robes of the vampire that gaves you 250% of magika regeneration and 50% of magika damage.
-The vampire hood's that gives you: 25% resistance agaisn't melee damage and magika damage
-The vampire boot's:Restoration,Conjuration,Illusion are 30% more effective and 30% lesser to cast
-The vampire necknacle:Chance of turning into human any Vampire or undead you find.
Homever the main quest will be tremendulous hard, and side with the Volkarians wll be also hard(level 45-50).
The Company Arsenal homever includes 150 random items:
-20 necknacles.
-20 swords.
-20 armor pieces.
-20 rings..
-20 potions.
-25 helmets,boots,gloves.
-5 tome books.
-20 Scrolls.

The Thalmor are a large part of the plot but hardly content in gameplay so expect to see more of them in an expansion.

I was thinking about an expansion where you were captured by the Thalmor who wanted to turn you to their side to (ab)use your dragonborn powers. You'd eventually get a choice to join them and become a secret operative or turn on them and escape. But I might make it as a mod myself :)

I'd like to see something done with fighting the Aldmeri dominion, or finding out more about the Dwemer. And aside from the plot, itd be nice to see more interaction with dragons besides killing them, as well as more magic/weapon/armor customization. Such as being able to select each individual piece of armor(chestplate, shoulder plates etc) or mixing words of power for new shouts. And lastly, the ability to travel to other provinces like Cyrodiil would be very interesting.

Things that I would like to see:

1. The Thalmor
They're the quintessential "bad guys". The game already hints that the current situation in Skyrim is ripe for the Dominion to make a move. This is what I expect in any future DLC, and I welcome it!

2. The Dragonborn returns to rule
How sweet would it be to re-install a Dragonborn Emperor on the throne, well, at least attempt it? It's far fetched, but something was always missing in the "end of the main quest" storylines in the last three ES games... and that was a reward that had substance and meaning. I'd actually like to go down that path. The problem is dealing with continuity in the Lore for future ES games.

3. More stuff!
I'm always down for new items, abilities, perks (etc). Let's stuff this game even more.

This...this should be the last Dlc.Since it would be the end of Dovakhiin story...Chuck norris of skyrim, the Nightmare of the Thalmor,The Dragon Killer,The Falmer's Night....Loved those titles. But also should be mixed with the Thalmor Dlc since their defeat means the return of the Empire...it would be like 80 hours of Dlc...pure awesomeness.

I would like to see something like this for an expansion. The dwemer return to reclaim their holdings. You can either help, which entails you help them deal with the falmer population, with all sorts of upgraded falmers, including new & more powerful falmer bosses, and more nasty critters.

What I don't want: Horse Armor

The Dwemer died...so no the chances of a Dwemer Dlc are too small. We know alot about of them already. Also i don't imagine the chaos of Dwemers appearing form nowhere and trying to conquer Tamriel after 500 years on the Realm of the Tralala....

Spoiler
That's actually in the game haha. I dunno know if theres new armors though but there are quests as well as new ingredients
But if I put my money on a future DLC I'd definitely say that it would have to do with Daedra. The game is missing a lot of the classic Daedra we know and love form previous games and I'm sure they'll add some sort of expansion that has to do with them.

Personally, I like the idea of more content based on the Thalmor.
I'd also like DLC to give the player some more choice in who to be. Joining all guilds is, well, just too much. A bit more specialisation and making the Dark Brotherhood and the Companions mutually exclusive (for instance), and letting the player become a Vigil of Stendarr, and thus closing the avenue of Daedric quests. Most things in life come in with costs and benefits, and I suppose it'd be nice if it was possible to at least tick off on a start-up screen that you wanted full freedom or some limits to your choices based on past actions. Such as, if you choose to go with Hadvar at the beginning, you'd have to prove your loyalties through a quest to join the Stormcloaks and vice-versa. To suit everyone, there could be quests to atone for past mistakes in order to let you join this or that guild (comparable to the pilgrimage in Oblivion, I guess).

I'd love to be able to go to Cyrodiil or Morrowind, but I'd prefer more quests (story-driven ones) to more landmass, really. Thalmor, the defeat/victory of, the Forsworn, join them in their struggle or defeat them.

In any case, lots of good ideas here. :)

I would like to see a return of the snow elves. Not the falmer but the true snow elves. There may be a group that didn't go live with the dwemer and thus stayed the way they were. This would give new armor and weapons.

No problem,i understand. But i really doubt. The artifact they used, that destroyed themselves is no longer with them(the location now is unknown). What remained from them is just Dust, and the ghost of who died before.
Edit:

Impossible, all of them died, they didn't had a choice unless join the dwemer. All Snow elfs cities and towns were dizimated by humans. So no...no Snow elf is coming back.

The arena. why not. simple. give us back the arena. it wouldnt hurt. take five minutes. no depth necessary. maybe a short questline. maybe i can challenge npcs who piss me off to meet me in the arena. maybe the dwemer return, just kidding please dont. you already did dragons and falmer this game, enough of the long lost returns.

all i care about really for dlc is that it is in bloodmoon/tribunal/shivering isles fashion. new areas arent totally necessary but i would like multiple new questlines, items, spell effects etc... the more the better.

im quite impressed with everyones feedback and yes to answer someones post(im sorry its 8 11 am here and i am literally on zero sleep so if i dont give your name tag thingy sorry) i can see why they wouldnt bring back shivering isles BUT!! take a note from sheogoraths speech line ( oh well back to shivering isles, he says WHEN you find yourself in new sheoth not if, pay him a visit) so thats areference that shivering isles could be coming back...or sheogoraths jsut demented as usual...i like both :) lol, but as of new gaming and a bit of research ive come to a hypothesis that we could actually see some morrowind dlc as in the quest for amrie( [censored] guy at the college who makes u run around and get all the dwemer crap for him) because ( the next bit is a spoiler so ill drop it down a fair amount of lines but if you dont want any spoilers discontinue reading now )

his final experiment he tries to strike the warped soul gem 3 times and fails, but the third time he dissappears and u gain a spell that summons his shade(ghostly version of him) and u also get to keep the dagger used in the quest(cant remember the name i wanna say keening but im not quite sure so dont quote me) any who enough of the brackets, also further evidence that shows possible expansion to borders is the gates, the gates in fact that are at the provincial borders that segregate skyrim from the other provinces such as hammerfall, cyrodil ect, another quite interesting dlc idea ive come around was that we may be able to actually have future quests for blackreach, its a huge environment on its own thats deep below skyrims surface and actually stretchs more towards cyrodil than anything (cyrodil is the center of tamriel) and theres also a very large glowing light encased in a dwemer cage, could this be the earths core, or a huge fundamental power created by the dwarves that could have resulted in their dissappearence or, maybe its a gateway to where the dwarves really are, i will be posting youtube videos very shortly(with the next week of ideas and hypothesis for many of skyrims unexplainable mysterys not including purposful easter eggs or random glitches like oh u fell through the floor, but mysterys like how the dwarves dissappeared or how the humans originally began to speak dragon, how long to master it and how they created dragonrend, im touching very lightly on that subject) but ill leave the rest to your imaginations if yould like the youtube channel all you need to type in or copy and paste is this

I find it funny to see people get so absolute about TES lore, saying this or that is impossible (the dragons were gone right?)... The lore is not absolute, Bethesda can change what they want when they want to suit their story telling needs. That's one of the reasons why they set up the lore to be written from the perspective of entities within the universe itself; so it can be truth or subject to mistakes, or misinterpretations, tampering, lies etc. I think its an great way to approach making lore as it allows for changing or adding of details here and there without being too limited by preexisteing concrete laws or the need to retcon everything all the time.

Anyway on topic :) I think there is a high probability there will be something to do with the thalmor as the MQ seemed to be hinting in that direction... i am not apposed to this at all, i wana kick their asses... ;) I think id like to see an expansion of the falmer, at least making them less goblin like perhaps there are less twisted versions deeper underground, or maybe they organize an attack on the surface trying to reclaim it. Id like anything to do with the dwemer, and i dont care how many people think they are over done, i really like the steampunk aspect they bring... We know that at least 1 dwemer survived their extinction, maybe another could in another way such as being soultrapped and placed into a machine/construct or anything weird like that :) OR not im not too fussed, but i do like them heh.

Another thing i think may happen is that the Dragaonborn will need to gather up the support (by battling or questing for them) from different dragons for an up and coming threat, perhaps building an army to battle with, and id love a shout which would allow you to transform into a dragon temporally.... or at least let me fly around a little heh :P (maybe thats stupid i dunno).
