The very first time I entered Blackreach, I was sad, speechless and awestruck. It was a place out of dreams and nightmares, both beautiful and frightening. I wondered how this place must have been when the dwemer were still around. Now, it was silent, almost like a tomb. The silence was only interrupted by strange chiming sounds. Did the noise come from the iridescent mushrooms? Did I just hear a Falmer breathing in the shadows? What else lurked in the darkness?

My heart was also filled with sadness, because I had lost J'zargo somewhere in Alftand. I proceeded to the small dwemer building you see when you first enter Blackreach. I waited for what seemed hours, yet no J'zargo. I felt overwhelmingly lonely in that huge, seemingly empty place. So, I took the first elevator I saw back to the surface and got my husband, Vorstag. Together, we combed through Alftand and finally found J'zargo's body. I had to resurrect him. He walked away from me, angry that I had hurt him so much. I understood.

Then, Vorstag and I set out to explore Blackreach, a place of mystery and wonder. The first time I entered Blackreach will always be a bitter sweet memory.

Having already logged around 100 hours in game, and regularly participating on this section of the forum, I really thought I had seen and heard it all.

Then I entered blackreach. Pure, stunned, silence.

There are three different dwemer ruins which lead to Blackreach.

If you've already done Alftand you can use one of the other two instead.

One of them also has to do with the quest for Mjoll in Riften, so you can kill two birds with one stone if you do that quest at the same time.

I had done aftland when i was exploring on my own (reason had to re run it was because the gate i had exited and left open via the lever was closed shut when i came back and was gonna go down the way i came up ...)

I havent gone searching for dwemer ruins this one just caught my eye cuz i could see it from frost glow

hopefully by time im done exploring everything down here I wont forget the reason why i came down here in the 1st place .-.
