With my luck as high as it is, doesn't really seem all that necessary, but all the same, following a graph on when to hit/stay in blackjack seems to have upped my win rates by maybe 30%.

On a rather unsettling side note I've collected around a hundred beer bottle caps in the last week or two in preparation for some serious real world fallout gambling! :mohawk: Havent had a chance to look at my collectors ed. cards yet, but from what I gather they have different reverse patterns?

Yep. They'd be fine if you want to play caravan but you'll need normal cards for most other games.

I don't see how it could work. The game does not use real world odds. The interference of the luck attribute changes everything.

I figured as much, I've noticed a sizeable increase in success by using it though. No matter how much luck you have making poor decisions like hitting on a 19+ is still going to mess it up. My luck is currently at 8 so not maxed out, but I'm blatantly getting nicer cards than around 5-6.

The instruction to stay on some quite low hands seems overkill if you have a decent luck score, you'll almost always wing it. Not saying this is a miracle fix or something, just some common sense guidelines when playing hands. Dunno about you, but I couldn't even remember how to play blackjack when I walked into the first casino and never really had any tips but my own common sense on when to play.

Yea. This game's odds are [censored] compared to real blackjack. Hopefully a modder will change this for people who don't have to have caps thrown at them to enjoy blackjack in the casinos. Particularly stupid is the odds of drawing a low card when hitting on 16, 17, even 18. If your luck is high you will RARELY bust. In reality you should be busting 80% of the time on those hits.

Yes... in reality. In the game where you have a Luck stat you can enjoy watching an aspect of your character come to life. Playing a Luck 10 character who didn't pull off some amazing feats of fortune wouldn't be very satisfying.
