Game is actually pretty good

It's sad the game is plagued by so many issues for the PC currently, after recently updating to the beta Nvidia drivers I am now able to play the game. It still has two noticeable issues, those being some tearing when you do quick turns and more prominent a lot of jittering with movement. Those two things aside the game is at least playable now so I'm getting to enjoy it some what. It's actually a nice game, I like the art style, more specifically I like the color pallet, colors are very vibrant in this game, everything looks very sharp, which I like. I've gotten as far as Wellspring so far, just doing the first jobs from there, the pacing of the game is pretty good so far. I've gotten a few new weapons already, it seems they're being consistent with the upgrades so far, I suppose only downside to it is that it seems like I've already gotten all the weapons I can recall from most of the demo footage I saw so this might mean there aren't a lot of weapons left to be had or there could just be a whole lot of weapons in the game I guess. Vehicle combat is also pretty fun, I've only done it briefly as I mentioned, I'm only just at Wellspring but it's pretty straight forward and entertaining, the slow motion for some of the explosions is nice as well.

Anyway, just wanted to drop in with a quick early impression now that I'm able to actually play. ID didn't do themselves any favors with the PC version and all the technical issues which is a shame b/c the game does actually seem decent. Hopefully the jittering and screen tears will get worked out as well. The beta drivers has pretty much cleared up most of the texture pop ins I was getting and I haven't had any more crashes at all so that's good, those two things made the game unplayable.

That is what actually concearns me more, the quality of the game as in gameplay and fun. I didn't receive my copy yet, but I'm sure id will fix the game, was just a rough start. What I couldn't live with is an utterly dumbed down shooter, but people say it's not that bad.

Though, adjustable FOV for PC is a must and as far as I know that option is not available (yet?). If not, hmm, then I might aswell cancel my pre-order, because narrow console FOV = big times deal breaker.
