I'm writing this for the Bethesda employees who are trying to correct issues with this game.

Unfortunately I can't point to any one thing and say it was the cause of my problem, but I can recount the events leading up to it (though I may forget some things and leave them out).

-I got the passport from the King.

-Went to the gate, the security bots allowed me to enter The Strip.

-Once inside, I found Macgreggor (or whatever his name was who owed the brother and sister who run the bar money), and killed him.

-I looted his body, took his caps, hat and probably a few other items, and brought them back to the brother and sister to complete that quest.

-I tried to return to The Strip but after the loading was finished my X-box froze on a black screen. Then, when I tried to "continue" it says the save file is corrupt. This occurs every time I try to enter The Strip.


That's the best account I can give. Boone and Rex were with me for pretty much all of this.

Please don't recommend that I revert to another save, because I don't have one. Probably a stupid mistake, silly me expecting the game I paid 70 bucks for to be the finished product.

Samething is happening to me and alot of other people on these fourms it svcks, they should send put a patch soon which idk if it will fix or not.
Ive learned to accept this for now and im doing most of the side missions but if this next patch doesnt fix it so we can actually go into the strip and finish the main story im selling it on ebay or something cause its bs to release a game that people cant even finish.

Something similar with me. When I fast travel to the north gate of the strip, the one in freeside, even though I've been on the strip several times, the gate door with the robots outside now says that it requires a key. I tried talking to the robot that originally let me in, but he just said "Move along, please." And now I can't enter the strip at all.

I have the same issue. I have tried turning off Auto Save (it doesnt help)
I have tried Getting rid of my Companions and sending them to the Casino (No help)

Just locks up whenever i try to enter it...
A shame..Guess i gotta finish all the side quests not related to the strip.

Still not fixed, hopefully Bethesda will replicate this problem and find the cause.

I really hope Bethesda/Obsidian/whoever has a fix for this in the works. I really don't want to start over and don't have any older saves. I was able to get into the strip afterwards by dismissing my followers (rex, veronica) but then I went into the Lucky 38 and get the same error when I try to walk back out to the strip.

Really killing what was the most enjoyable game I had played in a long time.
