Game constantly freezing or getting infinite loading screens

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 3:17 pm

This is getting annoying now. The game freezes all the time, and often loading screens go on forever so that I have to turn my PS3 off and restart. This wouldn't be so bad, but because of a different, unrelated error which means that the only way the latest version (1.5) will work is by deleting and then reinstalling my game data every time I turn my PS3 back on, it means I'm spending more time out of the game than in it.

This is getting silly. Any word on whether Bethesda aim to fix this sort of thing?

You shouldn't have to delete game/patch data every time, once cures the water freeze and following the savegame creation tips from the 1.4 installation guide should settle the savedata correctly.

Load loops are an indication of a corrupted savedata file, do all your saves do it?
When you get a freeze, just eject the BR and wait for the console to close down, then restart.

I know I shouldn't have to, but I do have to. It's an error other European PSN users have also faced where the latest patch does not load
correctly.

Yea...guys sadly to actually have the patch reach ut-most efficacy...you need to download the patch and re-apply it...which means a data-restart...unless you're on PC of-course.

Well you learned the hard way that having only one save is like playing the game "Dead is Dead" style, if there is a next time, keep a library of saves that you can revert to and try to retrigger a quest that glitches.

Some people think 3 is good others up to 8 but even over 100 will take up less than 1Gb of space in an average game so save, save and save again.
