I know it's doable somehow, I think I've seen the way for meshes or something.

It's more likely caused by a mod that adds spawns/changes spawns that is causing issues, Considering the vast amount of mods you have installed i would suggest unticking one at a time & loading the game to test.

CLARALUX - More and Brighter Lights.esm, Not sure it's compatible with realistic lighting & i saw something ENB in there as well, Considering that you use Deadly Dragons with the monster mod & other mods that change levelled lists i would suggest using Wyre Bash.


Untick them all & try one at a time, unless you have carefully added the mods & checked compatibilty it does appear to be an absolute mess of mods & very disorganised with many different mods doing the same thing.

Does it crash after a certain time, or when approaching a certain place, or (seemingly) at random? Place specific crash may just be a corrupted spawn, that will clear out when the game resets the cell. If it persist after that, the culprit is most likely a mod that modifies that area or a creature spwan happening there. Random crashes are the most difficult to find, as it's usually caused by mods that just don't like each other.

And since this in the general discussion for now; for the console players: this is the ugly side of modding ;)

Realistic Lightning isn't used by me, sorry, but the list shows even inactive mods.

What I found out was that with Live Your Life, if I had chosen any starting location, the game would load after choosing bed, and then crash after one second or so. I've removed WARZONES as it seemed to me like a problem with things activating on finishing first quest; this fixed the instant crash problem however now it's freezing, it seems non-random to me or memory-related: I load up, say, option "I'm hunting in the woods", spawn there, walk around a bit but when I pass ~2 min of running around in a certain direction, the game freezes (not: crashes). Weird, cause I believed that crashes were caused by an invalid mesh or something like that, now I'm not that sure.

I'm going to run a few tests to see when it crashes etc.

I disagree, there are a lot of mods but I've started with going by S.T.E.P. guide then added some of my own. SkyRe is the most important recent change in my modlist, and the game wasn't crashing before.

And since this in the general discussion for now; for the console players: this is the ugly side of modding
Worth the beauty part, I know I wouldn't survive long on consoles without mods :biggrin:

Just an FYI, unlike with previous games, you need to remove all files related to the mod to truly deactivate it, those files are still read by the game even if the plugin is deactivated. BAIN comes in especially handy with Skyrim because of that.

I've had this happen to me quite often when using a bow outdoors, turned out it was a mod that made arrows longer and quivers closer to the body. Try deactivating your archery mods.

I was using only the .ESP.

Turned that off, didn't work. It isn't bow related I guess:

Here's what I did, I've chosen path of "I'm hunting/camping in the wild" or something in live your life - the option that puts you near burned Helgen, and here's the trick, the important part: if I keep moving to Helgen, nothing happens at all, I'm playing freely during that time, exploring Helgen etc. however, if I choose the path leading to Riverwood, the one that if you choose it you can see the first dungeoun's ruins immidietaly in the far - game FREEZES (not crashes) if I walk until certain distance, AKA in the very same place, always.

Now I wish we had some Skyrim's House M.D... I bet this is some spawn bug - the crash and/or freeze was only happening once I've got outdoors in the game (and as some of you might now, Live Another Life has some starting places indoors, like the Vampire Lair), or a mesh that is loaded right after I go through a place.

I just don't have any idea on how to check what's being loaded right before the crash.

By the way, how does BAIN differ from NMM in the way it install mods? I always thought about making ALL of my mods into BAIN packages, so that I could easily upgrade/delete mods, but how does it work? I have many overlapping mods but I need to remember all that [censored], what to overwrite and whatnot, does Wrye Bash have any solution for overlapping mods which I keep updating etc.? Say, an update appeared for a mod "in the middle" - overwriting certain mod but being overwrited by another for different files. And if I updated it, then it wouldn't overwrite the "higher mod's" files.
