Pre and post patch I'm still experiencing game/system freezes that require a power cycle to restart while playing the game.
The freezes happen at different times within the same general Powder Gangers hideout area and while doing varied actions.
I try to walk away from the area, it freezes. Enter my PIP Boy, it freezes. I attempt to loot a body, it freezes. Now it seems that even if I load a save before entering the immediate vicinity, it freezes as well.
It seems like this doesn't have even so much to do with this specific actions I'm taking, but the locale.
If it helps there are two companion NPC's in the area, but I'm not directly interacting with them whenever this happens.
This is an issue that's preventing me from moving forward in the game. Not sure how I can progress without restarting entirely and losing significant amounts of time already invested in the game.
As it hasn't been said with any certainty that any pre-patch game saves are now unplayable, I hesitate to start all over again only to face the same issue.

mine just froze on me for the first time and it was after the patch..just walking down the road and it froze..
