game not loading from steam : V

im trying to load skyrim for the first time but it just says performing first time set up installing mircosoft .net framework step 1 of 1 and thats all its doing

Are you completely up to date as per Windows Update?

It's possible there could be an update to the .Net platform that may be hanging it up.
