Hi everyone.

Since the last patch, Skyrim won't launch. The launcher itself starts fine, but when I click "play", the game begins to start (a black window opens in the top right of the screen) and then an error comes up (standard Windows stuff - "Skyrim has stopped working - ...").

I'm at my wits' end because I've already tried quite a few known fixes, specifically:

• Changing sound settings from the Control Panel;
  
• Running the game on lowest settings;
  
• Reinstalling the game;
  
• Verifying the game cache on Steam;
  
• Deleting and reinstalling Steam.

I have run the game in the past at max settings with no problems.

Any help much appreciated.

What mods are you using?

I didn't think I'd got any mods (other than the texture packs) but having checked it seems I installed Skyboost last year, which could well be causing the issue. I am in the middle of another reinstall but I have got rid of that and hopefully it will fix the issue.
