Gamebreaking Issue - Reinstalling does not fix.

FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIXED. Stupid V-sync had somehow been turned off without me realising :(

Kill me now.

-------------------------------------------

So, a while back I accidentally killed off the lovely Shadowmere and was thoroughly pissed off about it. I used console commands to get Shadowmere back, thought everything was fine but soon thereafter I started having issues.

1) Horses/carts/other forms of transportation would start randomly floating into the air and flipping around as I was riding them.
--- Please note this meant that creating a new character failed horribly because the ride into Helgen would glitch out constantly.

2) Even if I managed to put up with the horrible mounted-travel issues, all of my old saved characters were...for lack of a better word...having a total idiot-attack every time I tried to enter combat. It was as though I was constantly entering combat (and with the sound associated) but never quite actually getting INTO combat phase. I was completely unable to properly do anything.

3) The issue described in point 2 would happen to any *new* character the moment I started descending down the mountains towards Whiterun.

4) Items start flying all over the place whenever I open a door.

5) Jumping seems to glitch out somehow leaving things into a semi-jump semi-float. Not sure how to describe it.

Now my computer never used to have issues with Skyrim, and there is absolutely *no* question that it can run the game. As it stands the experience is so unpleasant I can't play at all.

Deleting the local content and re-downloading on Steam does nothing. Verifying the data files does nothing. I have repeatedly searched for a solution and gotten nowhere.

Is there ANYTHING I can do to be able to get this game back to a clean default? I don't care about my saves, I just want to be able to play Skyrim from the start again.

Did you add or delete any mods recently? Have you tried deleting Shadowmere and re-adding him again? If you do delete, then save - exit the game and then add him again when you restart. Make sure your Shadowmere is not a duplicate, has the right identification on the console.

Try deleting your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files from the My Documents\My Games\Skyrim folder - this forces the game to generate new defaults. Try to relaunch the game and see what happens.

If you're getting very high framerates in the game (way in excess of 60 FPS), it can cause the physics to glitch out. Have you made any changes to your video settings recently?

You have V-Sync disabled. Enable it.

This issue arose without any mods or any changes added to the original game.

Also, I'm not actually worried about Shadowmere at this point.

My entire game is glitched now, even when trying to start fresh characters.

I have deleted all my saved games and reinstalled my Skyrim 3-4 times now to no avail, the bugs are still there.

All I really want to do is somehow get my Skyrim back to factory-fresh condition. But it seems that Steam won't let me do that :(

Try turning on v-sync if you have it off.

Kill me now... V-Sync was indeed turned off.

Now I know I hadn't touched those settings when the game started going spastic. Any ideas as to why it turned itself off so I can keep on the lookout for it in the future?

If you still want to reinstall: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1381322-want-to-do-a-proper-uninstallreinstall/page__view__findpost__p__20931240

As for your question, not a clue if you never touched any of that stuff.
