Yeah. They should've done it a couple of months earlier though.

Actually i think according to their video, gamejams are always done after completion of their game
The developers have 1 week to do whatever they want and show it to the rest of the team.

Its just that this time they decided to show it to the public i think.
But yea its a very cool idea. More game companies should be doing this if they are not doing it already.

Letting the creativity of an artistic team of 100+ people go loose for a week is a good idea? You don't say. :P

I agree, more companies should do this, though for all we know they do; they just don't show the public.

Too bad none of the gamejam ideas featured patches and other fixes.

What?

Are you trying to make clever slander saying 'Why didn't the gamejam features patches that fix problems with the game?'

Because that wasn't very clever... Why would they spend a free week fixing issues with the game that they would all assume will be fixed anyway? (And probably will)

Gamejam was about features, not fixing bugs. About new things or building upon pre-existing things that the developers could come up with and implement in the game. Fixes aren't creative, they're maintenance.

I think they should do the gamejam more than just once per game, imagine what they could do with it!

Man I get tired of people like you saying crap like that. It's moronic. They've been releasing patches along with each new bit of content. It's been just as much as not more than on any game they've done in the past plus we've been getting new content on top of the patches. No game company does this sort of thing. We're lucky it's all been free. Most of the money grubbing game companies these days charge a fee for everything.
