Dude, you need to have [Spoilers] in the OP if you're gonna link us to a preview.
There's not many spoilers though, just some small new one's but nothing big.
"The Burned Man Walks!" read some ominous graffiti we encountered on the back of a billboard for 50s-era cars.

Hanged man?

A Dumas reference in my New Vegas? Nice. Also: Burned Man? Hanged Man? Speculation! Excitement!

The title made it sound negative... The burned man better be the hanged man.

Yeah, but some people might not think ahead and just go in and get spoiled, would be easier with just having "SPOILER" in the OP so that people who might not be good at english or don't think ahead know that there are spoilers in it.

"The first thing we noticed was simply the leap in graphical quality that Fallout: New Vegas has made over Fallout 3. This is a lovingly textured, colourful and razor-sharp game. The world has been crafted with an increased attention to natural textures; stone surfaces, dirt paths, cement causeways and character faces and clothes have all been retooled and the quality really stands out."

I'm gonna go cry. :fallout: :foodndrink: :foodndrink: :celebration: :celebration:

I added a note to the topic subtitle, although I did not find the preview to be particularly spoiler-iffic. Definitely reminded me why I am looking forward to FONV though!

IGN must have played the PC version if they noticed the graphics looking that good. They need to stop releasing 360 screens.

Isn't it better that they release 360 screens?
What if people looked up a bunch of screenshots and gameplay trailers for it and they decide to buy it only to find out that the version of the game with better graphics is the PC one.
Would certainly piss off a bunch of people.
But maybe they could release comparison screenshots of PC and 360/ps3 version.

what irked, me was how the author was able to down many convicts with his pistol, but when he got the shot gun he was having trouble against knife wielders....now I know he said reloading was a problem...but I hope he was still downing enemies with the shotgun no more than a shot or two >_>

this. i found that particularly amusing. though maybe since his guns skill was low, maybe he wasnt as accurate as he could've been?

in any case, reading this made me hella excited for the game, as each of these previews tends to do :P

I have a very strong feeling that it was the fact that the shotgun he was using was a break-action single shot which when getting overrun by crazed convicts with knives and various other melee type weapons would probably be very hard to load and get an accurate shot off. :tops:

You won't get to enjoy New Vegas if you get hit by a vehicle.

Yea I was surely surprised when I read that. I was not aware that obsidian made that significant a leap with the engine!

It was more of an "OBSIDIAN ACTUALLY MANAGED TO POLISH A GAME??? :ahhh: " post. Graphics aren't that big of a deal to me, but it's great news nonetheless.

How come there's been so much talk about the "samey" graphics as fallout 3 if obsidian has done so much retooling of the engine and new vegas has seen a massive graphical boost according to this article?

Someone else suggested they were playing the PC version when all of the other previews have been of console previews.
