One of my characters is going to run a full set of Guard armour (Solitude) to end game. I was bored so this is one of my side projects. The problem is that the gear is mismatched between heavy and light:

Helm - Light
Armor - Light
Shield - Heavy
Gauntlets - Heavy
Boots - Heavy

I would like to perk armour even if its just the first one for the extra armour but I don't know how this system works with mismatched gear like that. The ratio is 3/2 on the heavy side so I would assume that this would make me more heavy armoured... but I know it doesn't work like that because of other characters. So wise people who have had mismatched armour... what do you do?
