I was heading back to Riften and I got into a rather unnecesarry altercation with a gaurd who criticised me for being an alchemist. I backed up and shot him in the knee with the only ebony arrow I had. He took it like a champ. After about a minute of an intense archery battle, I killed him and headed to his corpse. I find the ebony arrow but he had equipped it. What this tells me is he took it out of his knee and proceeded to use it. That is awesome. A true Nord indeed.

But isn't it a requirement to be a guard that you have to have taken an arrow in the knee? So he's probably used to it.

Are you kidding!? Have you never been to a "gaurd" recruitment camp? They have arrow in the knee drills every day... then they must pull them out and shoot the other guard (That just shot him) in the knee... Proven fact.

What I find funny is that I was trying out Lydia and for some reason she randomly equipped the bow and shot this bandit in the face. I am playing on Master and it took quite a few hits to bring him down. He had this arrow right through the middle of his face yet he was fighting like a champ.

Another random issue I had was that Lydia didn't equip her bow when this Dragon was attacking me. I had no way to bring the Dragon down. She just stood they're telling the dragon she'd kill it but she never brought out her bow so I was trying to kill a flying Dragon with my sword.

Isn't there a way to change her equipment or do something to force her to attack the dragon with the bow.... like take away her sword?
