Gear Issues

Post » Tue Jul 03, 2012 5:33 am

I think I’m missing out on some aspect of this game. I’m playing a level 55 assassin, but it seems like my gear is way underpowered compared to what I read about others using. I have a daedrick bow that hits for 77, Dawnbreaker that hits for 36, and Dragon bane that deals out 42 points of dmg. I keep seeing posts about uber weapons that hit for triple digits, but I’m not seeing them. I ramped the difficulty up to master, and I’m just getting my ass kicked. I know some guys have smithing maxed, and that is one way to make killer items, but my character wouldn’t fit with that build style. Is there some way to get better gear that I’m missing?

I just started a new charterer, level 5, a paladin , all on master, so I want to have him progress better if possible.

Without smithing? Don't think so.

Just turn the difficulty down a notch if you are having too much trouble.

I think both of those are leveled so you'd have to get them later in the game. I smith on both of my characters, but a lot of people don't and there should be a way to pay NPC Smiths to improve weapons and armor to at least the bottom end of Legendary or top end of Epic. <_<
