No, but I did find completing Arizona Killer with only a Stealth Boy and one throwing spear very satisfying. And I agree, and I feel like I heard somewhere that throwing weapons would be retrievable, so maybe it's a bug.

I just realized, after all these hours, that I have not once seen a spear in this game. Haven't found one during scavenging, haven't seen one for sale.

I think only Caesar's Legion carries them.

I don't think its bug, it looks like design. If you throw it, it will disappear after some time. Looks like design to me.

I got all my spears from Legionaries so far. Did not find them anywhere else.

Spears would make also nice addition to crafting.

I never had CL rep... cursed Boone.

On the topic of spears however, I have not yet tried them. But, I did go to the effortless liberty of wiki-ing it. Does 32 damage, with a 17 DPS. And no, they cannot be retrieved, or at least they are not meant to be and can only be obtained via CL soldiers (and also the Tribal pack if you want to be pedantic).

Anyone have any opinions on how it is in action? Might just Youtube it.

EDIT: Just did. Doesn't look very satisfying simply because it looks so unrealistic xD.

has anyone tried using the poisons on the spears/throwing knives? i have made the venom before but never got around to using them. i just dont use the spears/throwing knives in general just because i cant retrieve them.

Would be cool if you could get sneak attack bonuses with the poisons on a weapon to magnify its damage.

ive already started a new character and i guess ill go melee/sneak this time with survival up alot so i can use poison more often...i wonder how effective it will be against a deathclaw...that is gonna either be awesome or complete fail when testing out.
