Get out of the way Meeko!

Lydia only used to block me sometimes but Meeko is in the way continuously! Worse than my real dog for being underfoot. Worst annoyance! (too hard to type more on phone)

I already lost vigilance he died during a necromancer "hunting accident" , Now I got meeko and he is heading the same way fast. They should really make em immune to their owners attacks

But unlike Lydia Meeko seems to get the hint when I bump into him (her?) and gets out of the way.
Lydia on the other hand, just loves to block me at narrow passages like bridges and doorways.

Meeko sits in my house in Whiterun on the carpet at the entrance and next to the cooking place. He stays there as long as I return within 3 days. Whenever I return to Breezehome does he greet me with some barking. It is quite nice. Only rarely do I take him with me on a trip. I leave him there, because dogs die too often and I would not want to lose them as I lose arrows.

Seems the game sometimes places him next to me on occasions. During Japhet's Folly was he placed next to me onto the ship as well as during the Winterhold quest line did he show up in the Hall of Elements, while Meeko should have waited inside Breezehome. Bugs...

If I were ever to get a dog in this game it would stay home. I couldn't imagine trying to sneak up to someone and then it starts barking. Even if it didn't break my sneak it would seem like it would. I'd rather the dog follow me around town while I'm there and stay at home.

I did watch out for my dog/followers while questing but the fact that they are over agressive dummies has changed my mind. I no longer travel with companions or a dog any more and if and when I do my mind set is: if their dumb enough to step in the way of my arrow then they deserve said arrow. I wish they would only rush in when you do!! The fact that they run nose first into any situation is silly and unrealistic, I'm the boss do as told damit!!!! :stare:

Dogs are the worse followers by far. I had Barbas from one of the Daedric quests following me while I completed it, and he kept insisting on blocking my way when i was sneaking and trapping me in tight spaces so I couldn't move.

I had to laugh at my Lydia as she shortened the old, doddery Tolfdir during the Winterhold quest line. During a fight must he have hit her accidentally with his magic and so she turned on him, and with a shield bash and two swings from her legendary Ebony War Axe was the old wizard down and panting.
