Getting bored?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 12:33 pm

well i dont know if this is common but i have ran out of things to do in skyrim. so i have explored the whole map, while doing this i discoved this odd place on the very east of the map up in the snowy mountains, there is a old dwarvin place, in the middle of the room there is a golden light, if you touch the light it drops you through the sky into a falmer dungeon, if you know what this place is or if it has a purpose please tell me, or just go check it out

If you're getting bored and running the game on a PC, the answer is http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/.

That place is just another dungeon I beleive. You can always look it up on the uesp website if you want more info. As for the getting bored, perhaps you could go another playthough, take a break for a while and maybe come back to it later or get some good mods if your on the pc.

That's just a random dungeon, though it's one of my favourites. I don't believe there are any quests attached to that dungeon, not even Radiant quests.

If you think you've done everything there is to do, you could always try making a new character and use a different set of skills, or you could just stop playing until Dawnguard becomes available.

I'm glad I've not experienced the boredom some of you have. Despite over 400 hours of game time, I've yet to come close to feeling bored of the game (and this is with horse traveling 90% of the time). With so many quests open, I do feel inundated with the tasks, but I made a promise to these people I'd help them find a mammoth tusk, a bracelet, a sword, a helmet, and other items they've lost and are too scared to get on their own.

Dang it, that's just the kind of Khajiit I am! :D

After I completed Obvlion, at 726 hours, I felt sad the game was over. I hate post-game depression.

Not at all bored after 1000 plus hr's on x-box. I'm still working on totally completeing TG and am not even halfway through DB. Haven't explored all the map yet. But I do only do one new questline with each character. That Character only explores a certain part of the map and the caves, fort's or dungeons in that area, unless it comes with the questline they are doing. Exception being my hunter/explorer but she's only explorred the outer edges of the map and her area around Riften ( she also does no questline).

I've put in at least 400 hours into the base game and there's still alot of questlines I haven't even touched or completed, and I'm nowhere near having explored every dungeon in the game. And those 400 hours are not including the hours I've put into the beta. Imo, if you're bored, put down Skyrim for a while or at least until the DLC is released. :)

Well, I confess.... Trying to get the 5 jobs from the TG for Markarth is getting boring, as I keep getting others, which I am getting a little sick of doing! I still have the DB to do (or not), but that is a conundrum for me as my character really would not join. My first destroyed it, so I do want to see what its like, but.... Overall two characters and close to 600hrs, I can still get new things to do.

I've just clocked 400 hours, and still haven't started the civil war questline, and only a third of the way through the main quest - although I've finished most of the faction / city / daedric quests. I'm still finding new places and side quests though.

You can reject jobs if they're not in the place you want, and then keep asking them until you get one. I think that's possible, anyway.

Find another game to play, try something different on a new character, see what crazy ways of playing without mods you can come up with. Maybe have your character hate certain enemies to the point of hunting them. Try to create motives for the character and play through the mind of the character.

I'm not the kind of gamer who likes to play the game at a fast pace. I prefer to look around, admire the scenery, and just see what I can find.

I actually got a glitch back in the dark ages of Skyrim. The pre-2012 times. The release days. I had rejected so many TG jobs that I ended up finding myself doing two jobs at once for the same job giver. I was doing two jobs for the female one and two for the male one. It wasn't some amazing glitch, either. It made turning in the jobs a chore because one would only show up if I finished another job.

Be careful about rejecting TG jobs. You might end up with this glitch. I play the PS3 version.

The game look beautiful on SDTVs, actually. Just harder to see if they aren't the right resolution. I had a pretty good one, luckily. I have an HDTV now, but hate that it doesn't have a built in DVD player. Anyways, hope you find something fun to do in the game.

200 hours logged and still tonnes of stuff I haven't done AND dawnguard on the horizon.

Not bored yet, had a minor case of burnout but hopped onto forza and FO:NV for a month or so and came back refreshed

Dlc can't come soon enough. I'd completed all the quests yonks ago. The small range of armours, weapons and enemies had me very bored. This is why I'm upgrading my PC so I'm able to get mods.
