Getting a job postion for guard duty

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:58 am

Is it possible to add this in for the DLC?

What if we got an arrow to the knee and can no longer can travel. How are we suppose to financially support ourselves?

I would like to apply for guard duty in skyrim. IMO it would be a great addition, since you now have the right to arrest people, and to put them in jail.

It could work, but I don't think it will have much depth if you want to be a REAL guard.

Is another good way to get gold. You can play as a corrupted guard... which criminals comes up to you to clear their names with a price tag or you can be an honorable guard.

Give me more money sinks first.. money currently is too easy to get even if you do cut wood especially if you just go around into dungeons just picking up coins on the ground alone (no gear selling)

I would love taxes on your house(s) and even day wages for your paid companions

I think guard duty would be as interesting as chopping wood for gold. Which is to say, not very.

Hiring: City Guard. Requirements: Must be an ex-adventurer who took an arrow in the knee. Willingness to stop petty thievery and break up drunken brawls and deal with the occasional bandit raid or sweetroll thief. Must be able to stand in one place with arms folded for hours on end. Must be distrustful of magic, except Restoration, and people who walk around with weapons drawn. Vague knowledge of who travelers are and what they are doing, but frequently getting it wrong. Knowledge of the curved swords of Hammerfall and a dislike of lollygagging are a plus. Uniform and confining helmet that makes it hard to breathe provided.

I assume there's a reason why the guards [censored] about having guard duty while you can go off on some grand adventure.

SPOILER ALERT: it's probably lame.

But then again, for hardcoe role-players, it could be a great addition to their own Skyrim in-game fan-fiction.

I would approve.

You could go on night patrol like in red dead redemption, and kill any outlaws that come into town. That would be so dam cool http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?&app=forums&module=extras§ion=legends#

I would rather have a working ecenomy system ingame instead of a guard job. that way i could actually sabotage the lumber mill instead of just putting logs in it and nothing happens.
