Dear folks,

this is the very first time I ventured into the magical depths of Blackreach. I am trying to find that Elder Scroll in order to proceed the main quest. However, I have disabled map markers and the GPS map itself. I finally made my way to that dwemer settlement with the mechanical sun, I think I've searched everywhere, even climbed up on the glowing sun itself, but have found nothing of relevance regarding dwemer technolohgy for reading that Elder Scroll, let alone the scroll itself.

Please tell me, did I miss something? Or is that dwemer settlement not related to the whole Elder Scroll thing in any way? Please don't give me directions, I just want to know if I have missed something.

Yes, you have missed something. You missed the place you're supposed to go to
The dwemer "sun" is not connected to the Scroll. (if you mean that big globe thing)

Sorry for the bump, but I honestly have no idea what I should be missing.

The only elevator I have found leads UP to a Falmer Nightstalker, and the deepest I could get were the "catacombs of the quiet city" through the pumping station. However, it was nothing more than just sewers.

Are we talking about the same dwemer settlement?

The one your after Is in the opposite side of blackreach to where u entered it from.

The journal entry didn't give any directions at all. Looks like I killed every soul in that settlement just because I didn't know where to go
