Well the earthquake caused the tsunami. So the earthquake and icebergs are the only thing that happened together.

*Puts on tin foil hat*

Maybe it's all part of the plan of the shadow government to annihilate the unclean.

Another, Rhode Island-sized iceberg broke off http://www.popsci.com/environment/article/2010-02/antarctic-collision-snaps-rhode-island-sized-iceberg-glacier as well. Sometimes I forget how huge Antarctica is, then I'm reminded by events like this. We should really start colonizing it, aside from the little towns set up by researchers.

Then the stars were right, and this is the day.

Two unrelated events on opposite ends of the globe and you think it's "strange" in some way? How is it strange? Are you seriously implying that there is something all encompassing going on that connects earthquakes and icebergs together?

I'm going to LOVE when Y2.012K rolls around and everybody starts believing in supernatural powers again, only to have it blow over like a fart in the wind.

Spoiler
We'll all die in 2050 from Global Warming anyways.

No, not really. The quake caused the Tsunami, simple as that.

Now that's funny xD

I agree with Mr. Oblivion:

The climate changes, it is as simple as that.

According to Day After Tomorrow, we'll now be having an ice age abound, right?

Anyone wanna lend some room around the equator?

Best we steer clear of that, too easy for a discussion to be derailed. And none of us want to see a train wreck, right? :stare:

I'm saying this because I'm stopping myself saying something else.

Why? The climate is changing, it's not something that can be argued in any way, it's simply a fact.

The Gaia Hypothesis, of course. :P

^I am in no way supporting the Gaia hypothesis

Climate change happens. The only no-no politics would be debating whether the current changes are anthropogenic. But, hey, icebergs can break off, sure, why not? I bet it happened all the time as the Ice Age was winding down (and the planet was warming up to less bone-freezing temperatures).

T'is a good idea but what do we do when events like this happen? I huge iceberg seperates and cuts half the town in half. Wow that would make for an awesome game :D anyway when it starts to float north the warmer waters will melt it. Mm... killer whale food.

We're not arguing climate change at all, because a number of members consistently come in and assert that the topic is political and without scientific foundation.
