Give us the ability to divorce and remarry for the next patc

Post » Fri Jun 29, 2012 4:17 am

Does anyone else agree there should be this option? I know this thread has been done but I want to make sure the developers see this.

Also, give us an option to marry Serana.

Yes as well as the option to marry Serana.

Hopefully that petition actually works. I know Bethesda cares for their players greatly.

I don't think we need the option for divorce, but definitely to re-marry. I've had a character's spouse die before - the woman in question was a follower, who was killed by Draugr.

the best idea is to save it before you marry someone that's what i would do you might want to get to your appropriate level like level 50 or something so that if you marry the wrong person all that work that you did is still saved before you marry

No. No more zots for a feature that's not the focus of the game and is fine as it is.

And it's not cool to spam the board with a new thread when there's a thread already on the first page about the same subject.

Not because I want to get divorced or anything, but any addition to the marriage system would be nice.

In Skyrim, marriage is for life. This adds to the gravity of the decision. Who you choose as your spouse has long term ramifications.

A huge complaint in Skyrim is that your actions have no consequences, and now, one of the few actions WITH consequences should be changed to not matter?

*Is very confused*

No. You had all the time in the world to chose someone to marry. Its your own fault if that the choice you made no longer satisfies you. Divorce in this game is a stupid idea to be frank.

I'd rather have beth fix other things than focuse on completely pointless features. You like to marry? Go play sims. Skyrim is about bashing somebody's head with a sword.

Hehe...of course you would.

Hmm, it's probably a good thing I can't marry Cicero. If I divorced him, I wonder what he would want half of?

"OOH! Listener! You can't leave poor, poor Cicero! You can't! What about Mother? Oh, yes, Listener, what about dear, sweet, Mother? The Night Mother needs Cicero. For I am her Keeper. But the Night Mother needs you, Listener, for you are the Listener! Ah! Bother and befuddle! You want to leave! Leave poor Cicero, and sweet, sweet, Mother, but we can't have that. The Dread Father needs you, needs us both, to tend to the Night Mother.

...

How about we share her? Do you want the top half or the bottom?

I want the bottom..."

That was fun to write.

I wonder if you had half as much fun writing that as I had reading it. :bunny:

Yes, we need that. But it needs to cost lots of money, kind of like real life. More realism to the game.

I don't know losing half my assets would be really expensive, I think I'd just have to kill my wife. Especially is she takes a few of my houses.

As i said before i think what we need is more interaction between the Dovahkiin and his wife.
Also there is no Khajiit to marry with.

In my opinion divorce is not necessary however re-marry it's a good request.
