Suddenly, six red dots appear on the radar. 'Bandits' I think, and ready my bow... but to my amazement, no, six goats start laying into my erstwhile companions. Personally I have never been attacked by a goat... I've tripped over goats without them getting hostile. Is there some kind of instinctual and Khajiit-specific goat-hate on for cat-people?
The battle is brief but surprisingly intense... however, once the dust settles, and we resume our walk, I find the caravan guard - a lady-Khajiit called Ahaya (might have the spelling wrong there) is crawling along with a limp. Her heartless employers though, just trudge off away up the road.
Anyway, (until I became impatient, and saved the game) I've been creeping along with her acting as a bodyguard. I feel somewhat responsible - as a level 53 character, I should have smacked those goats, or at least seen them coming. The sad thing is, she keeps going on about "There are many beautiful things in Skyrim", and "the air is so clear" and the warm sands of Elseweyr. I've tried chucking health and stamina potions at her, but to no effect... on one occasion she actually said "there's a place for trash - and that place is not here."
Anyway, does anyone have any advice. There are few enough Khajiit NPCs in Skyrim, and I'd hate to lose one through my own fault - what if she gets eaten by a bear? Also, I'd like my character's life back.
...and seriously... goats!?
