God characters

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 3:33 am

I have played though 3 times. One as a dunmer mythodical assassin, once as an altmer mage and once as a khajiit theif. I have decided it's time to make a god character as I usually do in most TES games. My idea is to obtain the oghma infinium and exploit it to level all skills to 100 (I haven't yet tested this but I have seen people do it) the. Use alchemy smithing and enchanting to create unmatched weapons and armor. Obtain all the master spells and then begin to lay down my will as I see fit in the world of skyrim. The question I have is... What race should I use? Should my god use bruit force magic or stealth? I haven't get decided as I enjoy all types of play styles so any ideas? Also any exploits to make my god more powerful are welcome and appreciated.

Oh and before sombody tells me to use console commands to make it shorter or easier I'm using a 360.

Make a Thalmor god crushing all the Nords of Skyrim.
If you use the Oghma Infinium and level up to max level 81 that gives what? 80 perks so you have a lot of choice. If it was me I would go as a spellsword with a legendary enchanted daedric sword in one hand and a fireball spell in the other.

Can I ask what this is/does and where it is to be found? Ta!

**Edit** It's ok, I found the info and exploit glitch here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Oghma_Infinium

It's a skill book (kinda) that is given to you in the main quest it raises all skills in a certen "path" by five each. So all stealth, Mage, or fighting "paths" it can be used over and over if done right to raise them all to 100

Its a quest found north of College of Winterhold from a mage hermit, you touch on it while on the MQ.

Its a book given to you by Hermaeus Mora, the daedric prince of knowledge. When you read it, you choose a patch of the warrior or mage or theif, giving you 5 skill points in all the skills of the class. For example, you choose the Warrior path. you get 5 skill points in Smiting, 1 hand, 2 hand, block, heavy armor and archery.

@Op "Note: After Patch 1.2.11.0 this exploit has been broken. Doing this will render bookshelves unusable, however using the bookshelves in The Arcanaeum in the same way as the above exploit will have the same effect. Even after the patch." http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Discerning_the_Transmundane

FYI, you can use any container. No bookshelf needed. I am pretty sure you don't need to own a house either. I used a sack as a container.

To be godly as in "able to kill anything one shot", you will need to go with melee. That's just how it is.

Along with this, You will want the conjuration perk to have two zombies and the master spell undead thrall.

Get a follower who is a summoner and give them a summon Dremora lord staff.

Resurrect two high level necromancers and give them staves of summon dremora lord.

Start the quest Alduin's Wall and let Esbern and Delphine follow you.

Acquire Shadowmere

Acquire Barbas the immortal dog

You now have 10 followers, Three of which are immortal(barbas, Esbern, Delphine), one that can only be killed by you(your normal follower), One which will respawn after 3 days(shadowmere), and two that can be resurrected if they die(two undead thralls), and three which are summons that will be re-summoned at every battle(3 dremora lords). You are a god with an immortal army.

Would be fun but ultimately impossible as the leader's of the cities are immortal as well, as I found out when I took it upon myself to sack Windhelm before the civil war questline tells you to...messy.

Already got Level 81, max stats all round, Master spells, "ultimate home-made weapon". Prepare to not feel like a god though, but 5 hits to kill a dragon isn't bad.

A true god cannot die, that is rule number one.

I have found zero-cost restoration to be able to grant inexhaustible health and stamina. That requires you to perk enchantment and a bit of restoration for respite and regeneration.

Next, we know enough damage from multiple enemies can overwhelm your heal if your armor is low, that's why you need to max your armor via smithing and as much health as possible. I went for 800 health and 200 stamina.

Next, we know getting paralyze or unrelenting force interrupts your spells and render you vulnerable for a few seconds. Enough enemies spamming unrelenting could break your invinciblity though cheesing. That is why maxing magic absorption is vital to negate such attacks. Currently we can obtain a maximum of 80%. Combined with maxing magic resist, (personally I only went to 70% to save space for enchant slots) your health regeneration itself can out heal attacks put out by spell casters.

Now that we are more or less unkillable, the second part is killing efficiency. A pair of max upgraded daedric sword/mace/axe combined with four one-handed damage enchantments would give you the maximum DPS against bosses which can often be OHKO by a normal dual power attack and certain to be OHKO by a sneak(x6) single/dual power attack. This is on master difficulty of course. Non-boss enemies can often be dispatched instantly with a single power attack.

Thirdly and finally, a god must have style. The coolest I have ever been was to step into a room with 3 bandits sitting by a table and just as they start to stand up, I slowed time (three word), sprint over and killed all three. I was sitted by the same table BEFORE their bodies hit the ground. That is what a god does.

Stealth-Warrior is my favorite. I wear the ebony mail, krosis, ancient shrouded boots and ebony gauntlets, all upgraded to sky-high levels, with spell breaker and a daedric sword for conventional battle and a Daedric bow for sneak attacks and long range warfare.

I officially look like a badass and can pretty much own the world in a fight.

Since you've already done Altmer mage, Dunmer Assassin and Khajiit Thief, a Nord Warrior seems the logical choice for God of Skyrim.
