No gods no masters, hostile enclave?(Spoilers)

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:04 am

So I recruited the enclave for the final battle in favour of the NCR. But now i'm working for yes man and all of a sudden they are hostile even though I havn't harmed a single NCR troop. I think the problem is that the secuitron who is following me around is hell bent on killing every ncr soldier we meet despite the the fact that not a single soldier is hostile towards me and I have an idiolised reputation within the ncr.
I was thinking of killing my secuitron ally but I want to know if there's a better way to prevent the enclave from becoming hostile.
Is there a way?

that happened to me too you could've been wearing an NCR disguise and during No Gods No Masters you need to sabotage the powe plant causing the NCR to be hostile toward you but since you were wearing a disguise ...

No there's not, if you side with Yes Man or House, the Enclave remnants will be hostile to you no matter what, as you are technically fighting against the NCR as well, and they are fighting for the NCR.

They only way for them to fight with you is if you side with NCR and they fight for NCR, or you side with the Legion and they fight for the Legion.

In my House run I had the Remnants with me.....until Doc Henry winged a Securitron with a plasma grenade he was throwing at some Legionaries and the Securitrons retaliated by terminating all of them.

Untrue, when you ally the Enclave with the NCR they only become hostile if you make the NCR hostile, which is usually done when you enter the control center but if you bluff your way into the room the NCR won't become hostile and neither will the Enclave.

This ^

It's pretty hard to do for a non- NCR/legion supporter since your pretty much going to have to fight them at some point (NCR/Legion)

Hmm...I stand corrected. Thanks for pointing that out. :foodndrink:

I thought I read somewhere on the wiki that they were automatically hostile but I may have been thinking of this quote which refers to a glitch:

"When the Enclave Remnant appear during the fight at the Hoover Dam, if the player is sided with Mr. House or Yes-Man, the Remnants might be hostile."

In any case, they were hostile for me I remember in my first House playthough, but its very likely that I started blasting away at NCR soldiers from the get-go, so I can't say if I experienced the glitch or not.

In my house play, he said to play nice with NCR to make the double cross easier. So I did so. Until I got to the dam and broke into the control center.

I had ramped up my speech so I got the heavy troopers to go away so they didn't see me go into the control room.

What ticks me off is that Arcade, the quest-starter, prefers an independent Vegas, yet that choice make his companion quest characters to become hostile.

Not true my good man. I side with House alot (Shocker) and I have them fight along side me no problem whatsoever.

Edit: Nevermind, I read over Lord Vuko's post.
