Level 37 Char, and every single time I come into town at Winterhold I am attacked by a frost dragon. It is endless and starting to annoy the heck out of me. Anyone have a clue why this might be happening?

They are random, so nothing you can do. My advice? Don't fast travel there. Try going to the Shrine of Azura and go from there.

I'm assuming the since you are going to Winterhold you are a Mage. Just Fireball the dragon

Dragons seem to enjoy spawning at the college... Beware.

Killing him isn't the problem it is the annoyance of knowing every single trip to winterhold is going to be plagued by a dragon. Even worse they like to pin me in the circular courtyard, sit up high and make me snipe them with a bow forever as they are took chicken to come down and play. I dragonrend them and all they do is circle over head, sometimes they come with a regular dragon and sometime they come with bandits, but for some darn reason they keep coming.

Rent a room at the inn. Sleep through it.

I guess College can sure be annoying at times.

I guess they just like to hang around the College.

not really, they seem to respawn at the exact same spots far too frequently. They should at least roam around the province first before zeroing in on the same locations.

I found that it happens a lot when I fast travel to windhelm

they like the college there is no question about it, i must have at least 15 skeletons dangling allover the circular courtyard, its really annoying
what really pisses me off is that even if you try and get rid of them with fireballs or such, the game will still remember where they all died and splat them back on your face next time you fast travel there

Dragons need an education too.
