The title is quite obvious. I didn't really make you reply, or even look at it, or did i?

I miss making money. But being a full time student isn't too bad.

No but I see her point. Basically all you do in this thread is say, "Hey I'm going to work, wish me well". These boards aren't your personal venue to get well-wishes for getting off your unemployed ass. A better thing would be to describe what job you'll be doing, say how you feel about it, how you're going to handle it, and so on, and let people provide their own insights, questions and opinions.

This opening post, as it is, makes it look like you're just looking for pats on the back for no longer leeching off welfare. Can you blame people for being snide?

Oh, I can and I will.

I went into this thread expecting first-day-at-work tips from other members interspersed with vague congratulations, but instead I see snarky memes older than the sodding dancing baby, sarcasm and general swiping. Thank you for making me so proud of this forum.

:stare:

Thank you to Papafern for not lowering my estimation of the forum.
