As a good character is it at all possible to still feel good

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 8:45 am

So yeah, I have a very good character, a lot of skills perfectly suited to DB quests so I don't want to have to make another with similar skills again to do it next time. So, question is would a good character's soul be stained with the blood of the innocent in this questline? lol. So yeah, feel free to post some wicked spoilers, I'm cool with that, if there is even 1 very good person who I'd be targeting then I'll just do the quest to kill everyone in the DB, thanks.

Killing for payment isn't very "good" now is it? There are plenty of contracts where there is no mention of why someone wants the target dead, so there is a strong possibility not all of them deserve death.

I lost all hope for my poor little ladies dark soul when she decided to murder a bride in front of all her guests on her wedding day, then proceed to brag about how she stuck her like a pig.... so far that was the darkest thing I did. Was amusing to tarnish someones grand day though... I also stole that *****e's clothes and misc items...

There are plenty areas where a good char has to see the shades of grey... but other quests are outright... not for good aligned people....

i always do my rogue type character first and went imperial. Now i regret doing so because i feel very conflicted doing the dark brotherhood quest line.

No.

You are told to kill a minstral in one town. The guy may be pompus, and a HORRIBLE Singer. But does he deserve death?

I read about some of the quests and it sounds like an awesome questline, just burns my ace that I won't be able to do these quests with this character. Only thing is this, I'm now pretty much stuck with making a similar type character unless I make a Mage who uses dual wielded enchanted daggers perhaps. Though I did intend on making my next character a tank-like warrior so I guess I have some pondering to do perhaps.

I always do the same. Its always the assassin first... mine is also imperial... why do you feel so conflicted in the quest line?

Keep in mind, the Dark Brotherhood isn't necessarily about being all sneaky and knifing someone in the back. I like how the old mage said his preferred method was to walk up to a target, introduce himself, and throw a fireball in their face :D

Does it sound like something for a good character? The "Dark Brotherhood"?

I did it on mine, and he is "neutral" I guess. I help people and crap like that, I just do the DB & Thieves Guild because they're fun.

There's a very good reason that he says that. Trying to avoid heavy spoilers, but let's just say that the story arc isn't for the health of the empire.

You could be a warrior and join the Dark Brotherhood. Just be prepared to fork out in fines :P

Some of the contracts make sense if your a good person (killing the guy who set up that girl in Markarth), but others...
