Good free house?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:54 pm

If I killed a Thane of a secondary community (like falkreth), could I then move in to his "castle"? I'm just trying to find a decent place to live ON THE CONSOLE that doesn't reset or svck (like the legit ones...excpet windhelm). Any Ideas? On that note, if I marry and then kill my wife, is her house safe for storage/ mine now? Lastly, and this is the big one, can you successuflly move into the ship the emporer is on?

I think all Thanes and Jarls are immortal, i could be wrong but im pretty sure you cant get rid of them without console commands.
You kinda get a free house at the start of the game when you escape Helgen (Ralof's or Hadvar's) you can store stuff and it won't disappear.

im far in, i just dont care for what the game offers in terms of homes. a large house in whiterun or solitude would be cool. (other then the hjrim house in windhelm...)

The best way to get a free house is to get married. You should keep your wife around though, since she can make a homecooked meal once a day and share her gold from her store (if she has one). Just make sure the woman you choose to marry actually has a house you can move into.

doing the dark brother hood quest you get to lead the place in the later part of it and make the place your own by upgrading...can even buy a torch-er chamber complete with people to torch-er if you have an evil person :drag:
