Good quality YouTube videos with Fraps?

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:02 pm

Hey guys.
How do I get good quality video recordings from fraps?
I recently made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVexPL-8sGU but I don't like how it looks.
How do I make a decent one? I've seen some where the quality almost looks as good as the game.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm not great with video editing, but I'd put the video in an editing program (i.e Sony Vegas, maybe something cheaper). You can render it in HD I think, and add colour correction and stuff.

Note: I don't edit videos I just go by what my brother tells me, I could get him to help.

Edit: Also, if you are using the free version of Fraps you should get the full version, as it records in a higher resolution or something. I know that it is better.

I'm not an expert but from my experience, you should pay for fraps. Upload it into a video editing software (not microsoft editor). Play with the settings and audio a lot, this is the most frustratimg process since it varies from game to game. You'll have to upload it several times to check the quality and volia. Once you understand all the settings it can be a lot less tedious. Gl hf. :)
Oh and you have a good choice in gaming.

If you record the game in 1280x720 resolution, you can get a nice non stretched 30 fps 720p video. Then you need to edit it with something like Sony Vegas as Pokoyo said to reduce the filesize.
