After being sent by the College of Winterhold to fetch the Staff of Magnus from Labyrinthian I decided to get my dose of blood in and pick up my pal Uthgerd to come with me because I imagined it was going to be a long and difficult quest.
To cut a long story short- due to some areas being classed as outside my Vampire was forced to wait for fairly long periods of time to allow night to fall again. Slowly I felt the vampiric powers rising as I became increasingly blood starved until the point where I reached my full hunger. Uthgerd promptly realised my true nature and attempted to backstab me after which she was burnt to a crisp and then raised as my thrall-
After finishing the dungeon I journeyed to Solitude in order to turn in an Imperial quest I had done. To my surprise after I waited for night to fall once more a man came up to me and delivered a 'Letter of Inheritance' which informed me that dear Uthgerd had died, offered comiseration and also a hefty sum of gold to the tune of 300 pieces! Oh the irony...
Anyway I just thought I'd post this as this is the first instance of a letter of comiseration after two playthroughs and 130 hours of gametime.
Anyone else had something like this or similar?
