Got a death threat : V

Just qualified as an Arch Mage and recently got into a couple of dungeon fights ( killed the Pale Lady in one of them). Got jumped by an assassin on the way home who had a note saying someone wants me dead.Have not gone near the Thieve's Guild, the Brotherhood or joined any other Guilds. Simply stuck with the Main Quest and done a couple of other radiant quests.

So..... who could want me dead at this early stage in the game ?

its probably the thalmor if you just finish the embassy quest. its also just a random assassin

Damn assassins! Always find them when they are not wanted. They have a tendency to appear when I'm on low health...

The assassins will begin spawning at random to attack you as soon as you reach level 10, as long as you haven't joined or destroyed the Dark Brotherhood. There is really no reason for their appearance at all.

Except that my latest toon was only level 6 when a DB assassin attempted to take her out.... And she's not the only one. Out of perhaps 50 toons over time (still sitting around in folders somewhere....) at least half of them have been jumped by a DB assassin somewhere between levels 2 and 8.

I walk/jogged a trip from Riften to Windhelm and got attacked by 2 random assassin's along the way. I could understand one but two? Not like it took a week, 2 day trip.
That's not mentioning the bandits, dragon, wolves, bears & spiders.

I'm fairly certain my latest was only 5, and definitely on the first trip to Whiterun from Riverwood when attacked. At level 6 I was visited by 3 hired thugs sent by a bandit of all things.

This is also a common occurence for me. I get Hired Thugs before level 10 then never see them again.

I usually get visited by the Hired Thugs when I'm still level 2 or something. Yes, I steal a lot.

Been working successfully on getting the contract signed by someone special nowadays, and I quite liked to get one signed by Maven Black-Briar herself. It's sadly not possible to get one signed by Delphine, I think.

funny thing... I levelled to 10, walked outside of a cave I had finished exploring to an assasin in my face. I was so spooked that I died ingame, because I was too busy spazzing out IRL.

9 DB assassination attempts on my life(9 notes).This started around lvl20.

1 Thalmor order to kill me on sight.

None from the imperials yet.

I'm rather disappointed to be honest. I read somewhere that if you kill a bunch of bandits at a dungeon or camp and leave some alive they'll hire thugs to come after you. So I've intentionally left survivors to tell the tale (and hire thugs).. But it's only happened once at an early stage in my game. I've had one or two assassins and that's about it. Poor me.

I've had hired thugs come after me once only, and 4 bounty hunters.

I've had 2 so far, they are pretty incompetent in fairness - although being faced with a howling naked ball of gristly rage and hate shooting flame spells and wielding an axe would put anyone off I think.

Mind you Niamh does deserve it tbh, she does have fairly high (cough) body count.
