this also happens with Mjoll the lioness and Aerin. What i did, is made Mjoll folo me out of our home, then told her to wait, so Aerin returns to riften, then i followed him like a cute cat follows a person...BEFORE TEARING THEM TO SHREDDS xD im a nord. not a khajjit. but i was just pointing out how it felt to kill Aerin. he hits on my wife. he dies. he stands next to my wife. he dies. if hes alive. he dies.
Basically....
Tresspassers will be shot...with a bow.

no npc. gets close to my charecters wife...and lives through it...

yea thats funny, Sven was in his house, and i wen't outside and saw that elf chopping wood. I shot him in the head and it pierced his brain, so i took his clothes , wore them and dumped his body in the nearby river. After that, immediately a Courier comes up to me with a letter from sven and he said " I know what you did, don't worry blalalala its better this way " or something along those lines lol
