Got the game early for Xbox 360...

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:05 pm

Troll who just joined today :).

So because I signed up to a forum to post my honest opinion about a game I just bought, it means I'm a troll?

People pull out the troll card way too early these days; its getting old.

Anyway, at the end of the day I'm the one playing the game. No offense, but you don't know anything about Brink as you have never touched the game before. I was already aware of the release day patch and I would assume this is going to fix some of the texture loading problems, but seriously it is going to need to be one HELL of a patch if they want to fix this port of the game, it is just a bad port, nuff said.

Unless they literally forgot to enable HD in the game, then I have no idea how they are going to fix this game for release, as they obviously played the game in it's current state in their offices thinking it was fine.

I thought this one was the funniest of all his complaints. Go back to COD you 12 year old.

aye totally agree. he's just a sad stat freak. he's probably never heard of the words teamwork and assist. cod is where you belong.

One, you shouldn't be playing it yet. Two, as everyone has said, there is a day 1 patch to fix known issues. And three, go back to CoD if you want to track K/D this is a team-based shooter, and it's tracking of exp and lack of scoreboard, is something i consider to be superior than K/D tracking. So gtfo troll. :bomb_ie:

guys your being too hard on him. hes expressing his opinion, and its highly valuble (if it isnt fraud)

some of the points in here, couldnt care less about. but the ones i have been, and this just confirms it are:
- The character customization is much more limited than it seems like at first.
this seems like a potential problem, yes there are 100 quadrilian or something around there possibilities. BUT, it is almost to the point of an archetype mix n' match, from what ive seen. you will run into your doppledanger every once and a while.

- Too much GUI. The interface is overwhelming, there entire screen is just full of icons, player names, mission locations, ammo, its just... too much. Even when you figure out whats going on etc, you still feel like there is too much crap on the screen.
this point is a matter of opinion, and its not that big of deal, but it seems SD couldve made it a little more simple...

but i would like to see some proof you have this game, and if you do id also like to know if you feel brink doesnt have enough variety, because this seemed like a problem awell.

but the posts on this will always have heavy selection bias, this is a brink forum after all.

Considering each platform was independently developed, don't get this game for the PC either, since clearly you don't like the mechanics.

Aight, stop the bashing

He has said his, and he has all the rights in this world to think what he thinks of his first-hand experience of BRINK, but there is a patch that will fix the visuals and loading issues, so it will be up notch with the PC and the PS3

I'm not getting it Derity. I've watched a fair amount of footage from the xbox version, and looks good to me. Granted, I'm PC anyhows, but I wouldn't have listed half of what you said as a concern *shrugs*

In terms of the Gui, what size screen, resolution are you playing with?

I'm running 1920x1080 and I have to squint to vagually make out the icons..lol

Now now maybe he isn't trolling.

I'm sure if he in fact is playing Brink he would offer more than just words. I think some evidence would clear this mess up. Go on OP! YOu can do it!

If you see your doppleganger, he is either an operative or a friendly, so whatever.

If the GUI was simpler, there wouldn't be as many options, I like knowing my ammo, my crosshair, my health and supplies, the time limit, and my cool-downs, but that might not be your cup of ( insert favorite beverage.

For crying out loud its not a [censored] port. You could at least try and sound intelligent when you post here. FFS

.
- Matches go on for too long, matches can easily last up to an hour and to be honest, 20 minutes in you're already bored.
- Scoreboard svcks, doesn't even show your kills, deaths, bombs planted etc, the scoreboard literally just shows Name, Exp. Nothing else. lol?

My personal overall rating: 3/10.

You're that youtube guy aren't you! That guy who had no idea what he was doing!

Anyway, hour long matches? [censored] SWEET! Then it'll feel like what you're doing actually matters to the story.
We've been through the scoreboard. No K/D because K/D makes people into wankers.

This is quite possibly the most failed attempt at a port in all video game history. I'll be returning my copy for a full refund ASAP.

The game cant be sold in stores till May 10th but you bought a copy an now your returning it.

- Your a troll cause you cant buy a game that inst even out yet.. Maybe you need to have a valid point before making a discussion about it.

actually there was a live stream on it last night.... it seems perfectly fine. The only point i do gotta agree with is the scoreboard. It is a little *weak* with only showing your name and xp. I would at least say add a few more options doesn't have to be kills or deaths, but maybe like objectives accomplished or something along those lines. The graphics are not as good as some of the new shooters thats correct, but its pretty damn good nonetheless.

I don't think most of you guys should flame him, its his opinion and we need to respect it if he wanted to post it on this forum. He might be trolling he might not, but the version he played was with bots and i don't think many people like to be playing against a bot for very long.

Well I hope the games are long thats how most class based shooters are and thats what I love about them. Also ya the customization is not as big as some originally thought but its still a pretty big variety of stuff to choose from compared to other games that try to let you customize your character. Also tracking KD is dumb just makes people want to camp or use cheep tactics to boost it up when in truth it doesnt prove anything.

He joined the fourm only to say this game is bad he really can kick rocks with open toe shoes!! Honestly i think the patch would fixs everything he metioned. and anything it does not fix is not a problem I love PC games but I play console and I must say if you think a menus on this game is to much. you don't come off as the brightest guy in the world.. just sayin Im pretty sure the PC version going to have ton more menus then the console so i recommend you don't buy that one either it might be to hard for you to understand the menus.
