So, I got the mods Performance Plus mods... Need Combat lag

Post » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:24 am

I get a ton of lag when in combat or even just doing anything that isn't walking or running. Bows are the weapons with the least lag, but that is still not helping. I use the mod that allows me to make lockpicking lack the minigame(the minigame is just impossible on the PC) and still... I get door lag when entering interiors that have loading screens. When I go into combat, the game will often not respond to my clicking of either mouse button. I will just get nothing for five seconds and watch my character be torn to pieces. Are there any mods that make the game more responsive to combat and doors?

I have tried doing .ini tweaks with Morrowind, and my PC doesn't let me do those. My specs are the following:

Processor: Intel Pentium CPU P6200 @ 2.13 GHz
Memory(RAM): 4.00 GB
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics
Gaming Graphics: 1755 MB Total available graphics memory
Primary Hard Disk: 385 GB(448 GB Total)
Windows 7 64-bit

I use a laptop. Thanks in advance.

Well, you're using an integrated graphics card first of all, and a processor that I'm going to guess hasn't aged fantastically(but should be able to run it okay). You can try seeing if http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16464 will increase your performance by taking some heat off your integrated graphics, but integrated cards really don't run Skyrim fantastically.

Also, your PC doesn't let you do .ini tweaks?

McAfee(the evil "virus protection" my laptop came with) wouldn't let me do literally anything but be its slave. I uninstalled it soon after I got this laptop(got it a few months ago) and switched straight to what I prefer to use for virus protection, AVG. I have never been able to do .ini tweaks for some reason. Even running as Administrator doesn't help. I'll try that mod. I don't know how to change the graphics card on a laptop, so yeah. If I ever can, I'll see what can work with everything else. Thanks, by the way.

I'm still skeptical. I'll check the shadow remover out as a last resort. I checked the comments for it, and there seems to be a problem going on with it.
