I could have sworn I just picked this up in a random chest somewhere, but the game won't let me drop it because it says it's a quest item. Any idea which quest? Or is it just bugged? It's pretty heavy...I'd like to get rid of it.

Its for A dude named Enthir in Winterhold College. Part of Onmund's request Quest. Only problem is you can't turn it in the quest is bugged.

To answer my own question, it's "setstage 6bc33 30". Thankfully FNVedit can (partially) read Skyrim's master file!

i'm on the 360 and i got stuck with two of em for a while, but i put them on the weapons rack in my house, then it updated the quest and i was able to get enthir to take it from me after that...so you have to put em on the weapons rack, its a bit tricky still cause i did that initially but he didn't take it but i tlaked to olmund and then put the staffs(two of em) on the weapons rack then the quest updated so its abit tricky but you should be able to get rid of em but you need a weapons rack.
