This is Fallout not Elder Scrolls. There are no Great Houses.

I think he just meant mansions and stuff like that.

And I don't really care about that.

A safe place where I can store my crap is enough.

The smaller, makeshift ones tend to be the most satisfying IMO, as I've said in another thread.
Although I don't think he meant mansions and stuff (which is what I initially thought too) because who refers to them as great houses? Anyway, I suppose you could call the Lucky 38 a 'great' house if this is the case.
But then again, suggesting Great Houses from the ES is pretty silly too.

OP, you really need to clarify.

Yep. Let me head on over to Balmora. I need to offload my caps and get some booze and scrap before I jump on Trader Road. Anyways, anyone got a steam assembly? My Dwemer armour just took a hit. I'll give you some fission batteries and a suit of chitin armour.

I thought it was kind of funny.

The Fallout universe equivalent of Great Houses would be crime families, and yes they'll be in Fallout: New Vegas.

I think it's best to let this thread sit until Do'tirath explains what he means. If he wants a gameplay mechanic like the Great Houses in Morrowind that sounds like a perfectly fine idea to me - and I'd agree with Kristoffer as well.

If he's suggestion a Telvanni casino I think that would be awesome but also wildly inappropriate for New Vegas. (And really betting against crazy wizards is never a good idea.)

Heck I'd be happy with some kind of old BoS or NCR abandoned bunker that I could clear of enemies or something and call home. :tops:
