So I accidentally specified crimson edit as my external editor for scripts in skyrim. It seems like its now stuck with this and I am not sure how to point it to notepad++...

Right click on a psc file in windows explorer, select "Choose default program..." under "Open with", then either select Notepad++ under "Recommended Programs" or go to "Other Programs" and select (may have to browse for it) Notepad++. Make sure the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" checkbox is ticked.
