Great idea Bethesda :D, secret room, eh?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 4:10 pm

Soo, month ago, I was messing with Skyrim commands, like setscale, sixchange tm, etc. I had a good laugh, especially setscale and sixchange , that one is indeed hilarious. Aaanyways, I stumbled upon command called coc, more specifically "coc qasmoke". By using this command you teleport yourself into the secret room, which is somewhere outside skyrim world. In there, you can find all of the items in Skyrim. Imo, it is good, it was used in previous new bethesda games, as well as this one.

this is the room:

What do you guys think of this room, should it be in game,or not?
I like the fact that there are all the items stored, because this will become useful for modders/machinima video makers, it will shorten time of finding necessary items required for video, or retexturing, etc.

It's the testing room. Oblivion (and Morrowind I think) had it.

And yes it should be in the game, but not accessible other than through console.

Oblivion had a test hall too, and luckily for them console folk, they could get in there too!

TESTING ROOM FOR EVERYBODY!!! Wait, scratch that, no testing room for everyone. So if you don't like testing rooms, THIS IS A REASON TO CELEBRATE!!!

it should be accesible by ridng a dragon into the clouds and jumping off at the right point to hit the invisible door before you fall to your death. that way only the worthy may enter the legendary testing room :teehee:

I never knew there was a way to get in there on the console. I knew you could get infinite sigil stones and the Mace of Doom via the Frostcrag Spire trick but never knew there was a way in the actual testing hall.

Agreed. Hopefully Bethesda doesn't do something stupid like make it a master level lock or something.

Although, if they want to make it a cool easter egg, why not have it so that at the end of the main quest you get a key that lets you access the room with all the items, but in exchange you stop leveling up (the point being that you're sacrificing your roleplay experience for the chance to go screw around in-game with random stuff). That way, console players could have fun with it to. I remember in Fallout 2, you got a special skill-book in game called "Fallout 2 Guide" after beating the game, which basically raised all your skills to 200 and gave you a crapload of EXP. The developers even lampshaded the whole thing in the item's description:

Fallout 2 Manual - Well this would've been useful at the start of the [censored] game.

Haha, that would be hilarious :D. Now imagine how many guide videos would be there on the internet. You should get an achiev for that as well :)

That's not a bad idea. Then again the consoles could handle a limited form of the console. Beth just needs to lock anything that can brick a disk or console and release that version.

im sure many a dovakiin would fall to their deaths because they jumped off of a dragon in the wrong spot, in the wrong region even, and even more would be eaten in an attempt to ride the dragon

With the Frostcrag Spire thing, I'm pretty sure that's how you get to the test area, and get the mace of doom.

Testing Area is not the Testing Hall. You can get to the testing hall via location modding (via Horizon). The testing hall has a lot more stuff than the Wilderness (testing area) does.

Still waiting for location modding on console, though. For Skyrim, I mean.

Of course it should be in the game!
Want all the items to make a machinima or something? then you can just teleport there, if you don't want it though, don't go there!

Getting out however ...

thats the fun part! you have to ride with the bear calvelry into the depths of the soul carin (a realm totally ruled by undead and the "perfect masters" and is located in a realm of oblivion) while wearing armour made out of cheese to rescue sheogorath, who will then send you to a small island in his realm where you will have to slay the mighty cheese atronatch to get the key to malacath's realm where you will have to free all the slaves and take back teh desicrated white gold tower to teleport back to nirn. after the teleporaion you will find youself naked in the white gold tower with imperial guards trying to kill you (you are trespassing on imperial property...naked) so you have to fight your way to the ground floor where you gear is all laying on the ground (along with the corpse of the cheese atronach you killed earlier) then you flee back to skyrim where the cheese atronach is waiting to be your new follower

something straight out of the mad god's mind right there

It should be usable by everyone why the fudge does PC get everything..
As someone said after main quest or some other hidden big quest. The reward could be called the "Master Key" and it could unlock the "Hall" to all the stuff. There is something that could be done to avoid the "where to find" youtube vids; it could be made so that it isnt the same for every game.. so basicly it moves around and if you get lucky you find it; but also it cant be in a common ace which is easy to find. It could be deep underwater with loads of slaughterfish or some small thing floating high up in the mountians and if you shoot it it opens up a secret doorway out of the ground right under the floating thing which could be the hall. This door can only be open for an hour in game time and moves on if not entered.

Or it could be that the key could be small fragments that you randomly get at a very low drop rate from random kills. So when you put all the pieces togeather you go find the door for the key but there could be "where to find" youtube vids on the place because you gotta find all the pieces for the key.

Just spitballin. The Hall should be in every platform. PC dosent deserve super special things because PC ppl can already mod the game to their benefit where xbox and ps3 ppl get left in the [censored]ter unless they risk their system to have a little fun.
