Okay, this is my first ever major glitch in Skyrim. I've just gotten to Blackreach on the main quest, so I naturally tried to unlock the Great LIft so I could get down there without having to go through Alftland again. When I pull the lever to go up, everything seems fine, the loading screen naturally comes up. As I actually get up to the overworld, I see the "Great Lift" location unlock. This is where the glitch starts. I hear the sound effect of the lift playing again, and my screen fades to black. My screen comes back into view suddenly, and I hear the lift sound effect play again and the same thing happens. Pressing escape, or move, or any button for that matter, doesn't do anything. I can't move or open any interfaces or interact with anything. One odd thing about this is that the music of the game keeps on playing normally while all of this happens. Has anybody else had this glitch and/or know how to fix it? Many thanks for any and all answers.

Yep I had this. Actually the first time it sorted itself out.
But the second time it was an endless loop.

What you need to do is, prior to entering the lift, turn off all autosaves. Then access the lift. Once on top, spam click the console or world map and it should get better.

You can imagine it's not a permanent fix but it's better than nothing 'til a patch comes along.

Yep I have the exact same problem, on 2 different characters, and no matter what I did I could not get it unstuck, just kept doing the loop-da-loop ... have to reboot the pc every time as I couldnt shut the game down to reboot just that.
