Great news, 2 player split screen will be included!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:08 am

This is DUE to fan demand on here.

Here's a link

http://www.co-optimus.com/preview/693/page/2/hunted-the-demon-s-forge-hands-on-co-op-preview.html

A multi page preview from co-optimus includes the most brillant news that this game WILL have split screen co-op/same consule DUE to fan demand for it.

The developers say they are going to make it work..

Congrats guys on listening to your potential customers and giving us what we want..

Providing this game is good/gets good reviews etc this is a full price purchase for me now..

Also even if not brillant I will also consider splitting the cost with a friend and buying this between us..

Two copies if great (eg one each so we can play it online as well at times as well as split screen)

One copy if just good.

None if worse, though this does look good so far.

I think adding this option will add greatly to your sales however try to get the word out that this game WILL have this option, it is important. Maybe do a TV advert or something..?

Or an online advert?

This option IMHO needs to be promoted as well as online.

Include this OPTION in any advertising for the game, vitally important for quite a few gamers.

Wonderful news! Although the comment about The Crucible is odd, it was mentioned ages ago.

Hungry donner,

I think someone in bethesda's marketing department should email all the people in the "no split screen thread" and tell them it will now have this option. You can obviously skip me because I know..

BUT i'm sure the other posters would be interested in this news...

I say this as those people may have allready given up on this game due to the lack of this option and its a shame as it will now have it.

It still depends how good it is BUT this option is a huge plus for the game...

GLAD to see that some company's due actually listen to their potential customers..

This is awesome news! ^_^

Now I won't only just play the PC version, but also get the PS3 version for couch multiplayer goodness!

I imagine the split screen will be well-advertised when they get to that point :)

It still depends how good it is BUT this option is a huge plus for the game...

Agreed. I'll be playing on the PC so split screen doesn't matter to me but it's great to see that inXile and Bethesda were able to implement this.

I don't care much for split-screen seeing as I will be playing it on the PC but its still great to hear that they've added this feature, its really important for a game like this and its nice to know they actually followed through and listened to the fans. :)

I always assumed it would have console split-screen, it is billed as a co-op game after all.

Will there be split-screen and Xbox controller support for the PC?

I don't believe they've said anything either way about split screen for PCs. As for gamepad support, that's required for for a game to get GFW certification and the GFW logo is both at the bottom of the Hunted section of this forum and the bottom of the official site.

This was the very first question I had when looking at this game, like many others. For me, this is still in a state of confusion. Other posts here on the forum state co-op is just for the console, like others in the many posts over this issue, this makes or breaks my purchase.
Co-op still may be questionable for me, with some of the latest things seen in the industry lately. One of these issues is malware with online co-op in some games.

So can we get a straight answer. Is couch co-op going to happen on pc's? Can we use our own lan lines?

I am not willing to buy two games to play with family, to be frank.
I am extremely leery of a online sight that may hold hidden malware, with date of purchase, and keys etc.

Though I fully understand the battle against piracy, it doesn't appear to be answered fully in the direction this is going in pc's for the co-op.

Splitscreen is only on PS3 and Xbox 360. To play co-op with a friend on PC, you'll need to connect online or through a LAN connection.

I read that, thanks.
Its what makes it a bit unclear to me. Online generally requires two separate games. Loading this game on a couple of my computers, is this going to mean I need more than one for another family member to connect?

Does anyone know WHY there is no split screen for PC? It makes no sense to me, Kane & Lynch had it on PC and that worked just fine. Even if everyone's computer is not strong enough to run split screen at least allow people with good computers to have the option. It's so easy, just plug in any controller you want and play while another person plays with keyboard and mouse, or just two controllers, doesn't matter, everything works on PC.
