Grenade launchers?

I saw in the video the heavy fire a rocket/grenade (dont know which probably grenade) launcher. now i was wondering if anyone else wonders how this is gonna work... because since exp. is earned by the bullets put into a guy, how will a grenade launcher hitting a person be counted? also will there be grenade launchers in the game?

Same as a bullet would, only it has a blast radius effect so every enemy in the blast zone will be counted in the hit. Now if your ask'n how will a direct blast to the body count I'm not all to sure.

Well i think the hitting someone with the grenade will give you the same amout of points if you were to kill someone within the blast radious. naturally the bady archetype, HP, and other vaiables will also decide how many EXP's you will receive for killing the guy but you have a very good and complicated question and we cant be certain until the game comes out. Also yes there will be grenade launchers.

It will probably be similar to when you hit someone with the shotgun, and have multiple XP notifiers show up, or perhaps one big XP number, since you are doing more damage.

ye i was kinda thinking thats what would happen... but would that make it a one hit kill?

not necessarily. i think the xp is given out by the damage done. the more damage you do, the more xp you get. you dont have to kill the person

I hope not,but it depends if you are hit directly or caught in the blast. I am just glad only the heavy you can use it.

If you get hit with a direct hit from a GL, it should kill you. What's the point of having the "big guns" if they pack the same punch as the little ones....

And I think the XP with a hit to the body will count as an instant hit like a head shot worth of XP if that makes sence but im am not sure of this an have no real proof or anything.
It is just my prediction.

From what I've seen, I believe that you get 25xp for a kill, and 10xp for an assist. The amounts of xp may well change, but I think at current, this is the case. I'm basing this on a video I've seen when these amounts of xp have come from neutralized enemies, I think it may have been an E3 interview, I'm not quite sure.

well, in the cinematic we saw a heavy soldier tank a grenade launcher shot at pointblank range by the medium Jamaican dude. So maybe not for heavies? Also, if it's a 1 hit kill for a light then the "snipers" would be useless. All this speculation is leading me to believe snipers will be the least used weapon in this game. =\

I have learned to take anything in the cinematic with a grain of salt.

All this speculation is leading me to believe snipers will be the least used weapon in this game. =\

At least then there isn't going to be any quickscoping or underestimating skill. Or hate for actually using one how its supposed to be used.

Watch container city gameplay. That has the nade launcher and shows the exp

I am glad on the sniper thing, cas that makes me happier knowing i will have less competition (fellow snipers taking my kills) although that is rare as i am legitimately a very talented sniper.

GLs are a great addition, as it gives Heavies real powerful manly man weapons. Most of their chain guns are SMGs with bigger clips and slower movement speed.

I am glad on the sniper thing, cas that makes me happier knowing i will have less competition (fellow snipers taking my kills) although that is rare as i am legitimately a very talented sniper.

Sniper will work better in pairs so they can get them stuck in a crossfire.

hahaha who needs someone to watch someones back if your being a ninja light person? :P You'd be too busy running around at a fast pace to be protected from behind lol xD

:o We should create a whole team of lights who just sprint everywhere like crazy mofo's and the other team would struggle to shoot us all down if we spread around and all picked off players.
