So, Bethesda is not planing on fixing this [changing], making enemys search for you all the time after you fire freaking arrow throught their head ( while sneaking) ?

This sentence actually makes no sense to me.

I think the thread title is referring to enemies hearing you and even being shot by you, and then just going back to their routine as though nothing were amiss if they don't actually spot you. I agree it's an AI blind spot. Somebody once suggested that once an enemy is hit they should be on the alert for an hour at least even if they don't find you.

Oh I understand now.

Yep, I shot a guy then hid and while he`s still got an arrow sticking out of him he just says, "Musta been nothing!" And forgets about me. Once a guy is hit they should search for you for ages before giving up, not after 10 seconds.

I think all enemies in Skyrim are smoking some odd weeds they found growing beside the road, because they seem to have little short-term memory.

Guess it`ll have to take modders again to fix it. I remember it being like this in FO3, then after I installed a Mod for the AI, they reacted much more realistically. They didn`t forget you after 10 seconds and really searched for you for ages. You were lucky not to be shot at once you opened fire from sneak.

A pity really, because I think Bethesda programmers get lazy, knowing modders will fix the most obvious faults.

Well, if you are as old as most of the enemies are, your memory should be going.

I'm 64 and I'm having memory issues. So, if you're in a dungeon for hundreds of years, yeah you should be losing it lol.

All joking aside, some of that could have been done better, among other issues, but still overall it's not bad.

Wow. I'm 41. Good to know there are some older gamers around!

You're right, overall I can't say it's horrible. Usually enemies will come and find me - it seems to be the worst outside at night. Under those circumstances, I can understand that they can't find me easily, I just wish they didn't give up so easily. Come out of your fort and hunt for me, or at least stand back from the wall and stop being such an easy target to snipe.

Nords shoot arrows at each other as a practical joke, usually in the knee. That is why they go back to what they are doing after getting shot.

I does make sense, your arrow might just have hit a memory core and made him/her so stupid that he/she didn't even understand where they he/she was hit from.

Realistically, someone with an arrow in their head wouldn't come searching for you, because they'd be dead.

Then is right enemy stop searching you after some second.

This error is a consequence of the survive of an enemy which should be dead, then or bethesda fix the first error or more simple they don't do nothing.

And an arrow to the head is certainly not an automatic kill in the real world. Sure, there's a high chance of it, but many, many people have also survived such a thing, and worse.

Well, if they searched forever after being shot once, people would probably go "DERP stealth is so USELESS i can only get ONE ARROW THROUGH before im roasted!"

lol

Well, they shouldn't be able to easily find you after you shoot them at night or something, but they should certainly start looking pretty hard.

I don't think they walking around with an arrow in the head.

However,is not enough fix AI systems when the erroneous reactions are the result of actions that do not work as expected

When I see enemies dead or incapacitated by arrows in the head or walking slowly when they get caugt on the legs then i can expect a IA can reaction more good.

Changing this would be a great way for people to stop relying on their sneak multiplier for everything and actually fight more. People have complained about sneak being overpowered, so maybe you could take out a couple of guys in 1 shot before the others come after you.
